I know there used to be sprays you could buy from places that sold shoes that you could spray on that supposedly stretched or softened areas which were stiff and uncomfortable. Another thought, perhaps, you could apply moleskin padding to either the inside of the shoe area that is troublesome or on the area of your foot which it rubs.

I bought a pair of Sofft heels here on the Q and I've only been able to wear them once as for some reason, the sides of the shoes, which are leather, turn in and dig into my skin. I tried the shoes on when I got them and they felt fine. But I didn't wear them until after the return window last year so I can't return them. Any suggestions on what I can do to prevent this?

Take them to a shoe repair shop. Perhaps they will be able to soften the leather.

MOLESKIN is a miracle worker when it comes to feet and shoes. I worked in a pharmacy and turned many people on to it for toes, heels..get thin moleskin not

not the thick. Put it on your foot not the shoe...and should do the trick.

Immerse the part of the show that hurts your foot into some warm water. Dry off excess water, wear while wet! They will fit to your foot!

Careful, don't dunk the whole shoe!

If it is a difficult spot to do this. Use a brush to wet the spot with warm water.

IT IS IMPERATIVE TO WEAR THE SHOE UNTIL IT DRIES FOR IT TO FIT TO YOUR FOOT.

From a shoe repairman "...warm the leather with a blow dryer then stretch leaving the stretcher in place.".
