New Balance

Call me crazy but when I have bought (never again) New Balance from anywhere else besides a New Balance store or from the website they are "not the same".

They don't fit right, they don't feel right, they are like some imposter on my feet although they do have the logo.

I believe there are shoes manufactured just for these "discounted" sales and reason being so they don't compete against the product lines they do offer.

So I'll stick to the New Balance store.

Have you had the same experience?

I have not had that experience and have purchased new balance from DSW. I love the shoes I have purchased at DSW, but am not excited about the style being offered on QVC - looks very dated looking.

My hubby has been a faithful NB wearer since I can remember. Here in Baltimore we have a store called Holabird Sports, he goes there in person and tries them on, but they do a huge mail order biz all over the country. He was much happier when they were made in the USA, but that has ceased long ago.

I don't buy shoes from either of the shopping channels, prefer to go to the vendor's website, but it wouldn't surprise me if these shoes are made special for QVC and differ from the usual quality.

@Mistreatedbycs I buy the NB that I wear for long walks at an orthopedic shoe store. I learned quite some time ago that for my feet, the NB that shows up on sale or on sites where I would do my own fitting also do not fit my feet.

I wear that brand almost exclusively for my workouts. Once I got my size figured out, they're consistent with sizing so I can just order online. The physical store here doesn't honor the same discounts that the website shows (30% off sitewide a couple of times a year) so I do most of my shopping from the New Balance website.

Isaac Mizrahi teamed up with New Balance a couple of years ago and did a few styles of NB shoes in the $50 range at QVC. They were comfortable for just running errands but I cannot wear them for workouts. The NB shoes that work best for me are the ones in the $149 price range so I wait for the sales.

Yep. The last New Balance slip-on TSV was a complete fail. Hope buyers have better luck with this one.

I truly believe that most brand name items sold on the Q are a cheaper version, hence the price.

For decades now New Balance is the only athletic shoe I buy. I have never bought a pair from the Q. but I certainly have everywhere else. In the stores here in my town and all through out the Internet. NB site itself and the other online regular places. Never had a problem.
