Dirty Feet!

I didn’t know how to topic this!

I was just watching “Jane & David’s Hili-Yays...

The girl presenting the Earth Origins’ boots pulled out the footbed and it was filthy.

It had the entire ( dirty) indention of someone’s dirty barefoot foot!

I wear slip on tennis shoes in the summer. The footbed ( due to sweat, etc) gets dirty. When I pull it out to wash it, you can see where my toes, heel were in the shoe.

I can’t get over QVC selling (as a presentation) shoes that have obviously been worn several times on the air as a presentation.

Then, the young woman pulled out the footbed and ...well it was filthy.

Why wouldn’t they have there a new pair of shoes?

Why don't they wear 'peds'. Perhaps dating myself - are they still around? As a kid shoe stores would not let you try on shoes unless you had something on your feet. (socks of some kind)

Did any of you guys see it? I can’t get over it!

My first thought was “Are they going to sell those shoes”?

I’ve seen people here say they’ve received “worn” clothes, etc.

I wonder who will be the “ lucky”?!? Recipent to get those?

Many shoes have footbeds that conform to the shape of your foot. After you wear them a few times, you will see the outline of the foot and it has changed color. The footbeds cannot be washed and they aren't "dirty"

Birkenstocks do this as well as other brands..mostly comfort shoes.

So many people today do not wear socks at all. I am sure their feet are sweaty and gross and their shoes stink, but you can't say a footbeds is dirty because it is discolored and you can see the foot outline.

Shoes that have been worn should not be sold, but it is too much to expect QVC to use a fresh new shoe each time they show it, especially if the footbed is the type that changed color after being worn.

I didn't see this presentation, but I can remember the days when you tried on a bathing suit in the store. If it fit, you'd probably buy it, and take it home. No returns were allowed. Nowadays, even bathing suits are returnable, no questions asked. UCK!!!

Now I see women trying on pierced earrings at the counter.....so gross!!

Look! When presenting A pair of shoes on TV, I certainly DO expect QVC to cough up a new pair of shoes that have never been worn.

That’s unbelievable to think a big company like QVC wouldn’t have shoes they used just “get it...just” for presentations!

If the models wear them then they should provide shoes for them.

Sooooo if you were a model and had to put you foot in that dirty footbed, I’d think twice or wear a footie.

There is no excuse for QVC to not have shoes up there that haven’t been worn several times.

I collect Birkenstock and have almost 100 pair and I can say without a doubt I have to wear them way more than once or twice for the imprint of my heel and toes to get imbedded on the footbed.

It just doesn’t happen once or twice. Eventually it will imprint but it takes more than a few times.

So to sum this up, yes, I certainly do expect QVC to present clean, unworn shoes when presenting them on air.

I was shopping at Marshall’s and saw a young girl open a tube of lipstick...try it on...and put it back on the shelf. Gross.

@Carmie @Mombo1 At least with pierced earrings, you can "sanitize" them with alcohol. Can't do that with bathing suits. Sure you can wash a suit, but---!!! Anytime I buy any article of clothing that may touch my "lady parts" I always wash them before wearing. Same for sheets, towels, etc.

@coffee drinker Me too. I was lucky as a child growing up that I didn't have to wear hand me down or used clothing. I didn't have many clothes, but my few pieces were new.

I just can't bring myself to wear anything anyone tried on....that I know about. It's my secret phobia.

i like go wash everything that touches my body.

Sally usually is the rep for Earth origins..and I didn't see it either. But Sally many times wears her own shoes/boots on air.

Not making an excuse for it, just a possible reason for it..I agree should wear a pedi or foot hosiery when doing demo's though.

Q's lost most all it's standards the past few years..it's more of a free for all home shopping network.

@fthunt Yep, they still make them. I wear the half peds. It keeps the inside soles from coming loose, sticking to my feet and/or getting dirty.
