topic Returning a trade-in allowed? in Shoes

Hi all. I searched to see if this has been discussed before, but didn't turn up anything.

I did my first trade-in and received my Domed Buckle satchel in dusty blue. I'm not loving the color. I should have gotten the fushsia. On the back of my invoice regarding sending items back to Dooney, it says: "Sorry, only catalog ordered items can be considered for credit or exchange. Replacement orders under the refurbishment programs are not eligible." Does this mean I can't make an exchange?

I thought I've seen threads where others have said they have returned a trade-in. Any help from someone w/ experience would be greatly appreciated. I'm at work and can't call CS until this evening. I'm anxious to know what my options are. TIA!
