And why are they so expensive?

Brighton Handbags have been produced since 1998. They are not any better than Coach or Dooney & Burke. Personally I would not go out of my way to find one and would probably not buy one.

My neighbor has one, she asked to to bring it in to the house from the car one day. And OMG the thing waded a ton. I couldn't believe her summer leather and straw bag was soooo heavy. Check them out before buying one and think how your shoulder will feel after a day carrying that around. That said they are cute to look at.

I bought my first Brighton Handbag just after Christmas and before New Years 1997 with matching wallet and key fob. Still carry the wallet and key fob everyday and the handbag from time to time. Love all my Brighton items, not heavy in the least.
