@Kachina624 thanks for the hearty laugh. I needed it. I always wear flip flops in the house and now I have switched to a pair of Birkis that the leather is peeling. I never wore them often as they are turquoise(which matches few outfits I wear) and the crocodile print is already peeling. Guess every company has some flaws but as much as I love the Birkenstocks with rivets, I will pass unless they go on a fabulous sale (such as a gift from someone ha ha).

They are beautiful and I would love a pair in pink but I won't pay that kind of money. I have 17 pair of Birkenstocks that I have purchased over the years and love all of them. I wish that QVC would bring them back as they would offer such wonderful unqiue colors and patterns.

And I've always loved the brand, but the push to get people to pay $200 & up for leather shoes is ridiculous!

I don't care for the rivets or the high price. I still have Birkenstocks in like new condition that I bought from the Q. I do like the soft footbed they make now, the regular footbed is just too hard for me now.It looks like the price has almost doubled since I bought my last pair of leather Birkenstock clogs. I can see why the Q does not sell them anymore.
