Comfortable office flats?

I love flats with skinny/pegged slacks but hard to find any that don't rub the back of my heel and give me blisters. Anyone else have that problem with flats and can recommend a brand or style?

For some reason the back of the heel rubbing is worse for me with flats than with pumps/heels. I don't have this issue with quality leather-lined heels but often do even with comfort-flats. Any suggestions welcomed!

It's hit or miss with me.

I have good luck with Clark's loafer style. I know they are not for everyone. I also like their sandals.

I also like the ballet flat style but I recently spent about an hour in Steinmart trying on many cute flats but none would work. I have one wonky foot & the hammer toe refused to behave.

I have a pair of Anne Klein loafers, love them. I've had good luck with that brand. I had a cute pair of AK ballet flats years ago that I wore til I wore them out. Loved them.

I LOVE AGL flats. They are not inexpensive, but the fit is good. I have a few pairs.

I would love these, but they're sold out in my size.

@software Thank you. It's been hit or miss with me too. I have some online coupons for several online only shops and many flats have such favorable reviews for comfort. I wondered if I was the only one that had that heel-blister problem with flats based on some of these reviews.

I'm not opposed to spending more money if they don't give me blisters. I need to walk at least a half-mile each day in whatever shoes I wear to work. I've even purchased some sketchers (known for comfort) and had the heel rub on me...maybe I just have sensitive heels

@lolakimono thank you. I can see the inside is lined with a soft suede and that usually works for me (but hit or miss - some of those lining suedes still rub!). I will look at this brand based on your experience with them. Price does not matter. I've purchased Cole Haan that gave me horrible blisters and some naturalizers that were comfortable right out of the box. My work shoes simply need to be comfortable, and they need to look professional as well.

I can't seem to wear any shoes but sling-back or mules - I have the same problem with my heels. I don't know that I've seen sling-back flats lately, but I know I've seen some cute and stylish flats that are mules or without backs that would work in an office setting. I'm sorry I don't have brand names, but I'd think some of the larger shoe vendors (Macy's, Dillard's and others) would carry them. I think sling-backs are a great option if you can find them.

I was going to suggest Cole Haan but I see they do not work for you. I swear by them.

Lately I've been wearing Fit Flop flats and find them extremely comfortable. (they run a 1/2 size big)

@lolakimono Thank you again. I'm seeing some really perfect styles even in low heels. This is just the kind of brand recommendation I'd hoped for here I like traditional styles for work and these look comfortable and traditional!!

Thanks @lulu1! The cole haan ive purchased have had a stiff footbed so when I bent my foot to step, it rubbed in the back of the heel instead if flexing with my foots movement. I think those fitflop snakeskin flats are adorable and would look cute with ankle length pants and even black jeans.

I wear Cole Haan ballet flats with the flexible backs. I must have every color of their older version. You can get great buys on them at Sak's Off 5th and Nordstrom Rack. They run true to size.

The fit flops are super comfy.

I just tried A302229 in gold. It's from Clarks. I always take 1/2 size smaller in Clarks, and this was no exception. I haven't worn ANY shoe without that "MaryJane" strap across it in years. (The shoe just flops off my heel.) But I think I'm going to be able to wear this one and I'm SO happy about it. Not sure if it's *quite* dressy enough for the office, but I'm retired now.

I have heard good things about Tieks flats; available only online I think. They come in many colors & run about $175. Good luck in your search!

Have you tried Naturalizer shoes? I have many shoes from Naturalizer in all types from pumps to loafers and many flats that I wear to work. I have several pairs that are similar to the one lolakomino posted from Nordstrom. But of course sllightly different - one is a tweed black/white, another bronze and black, one is bone and black and many others in different styles. I just purchased a style named Saben because it came in blue suede and I also bought the same shoe in rose gold. Both are great and comfortable. If you are not already familiar with the Naturalizer brand, check out their website.

Most comfortable flat I have ever found is Vionic Women's Chill Larrun Loafer, if you can still find them. They are wonderful and so soft with great support.

Take a look at Vionic Hydra slip-on shoes. Their website has them on sale. I have two pair and love them. May not be as dressy as you are looking for at a work job.

I just bought a pair of Anne Klein loafers on the clearance rack at one of my local department stores. Love them!
