I purchased the Lorain Clog for $90.00. These clogs are EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE. There is memory foam padding from the heel to the toe. That being said, you need to go up a size. I wrote a review and said go up 1/2 size but I think if you wear a normal sock you need to go up one size. The review is not posted yet. This clog fit me perfectly which I don't care for. There was no room behind my heel at all. I returned them because the heel of 2-1/2 in. was too high for me. 2 in. would have been fine and then I would have exchanged for a larger size. I think the manufacturers forget that when they add padding to the insole, it makes the shoe size smaller. If you can tolerate 2-1/2 in, you will love this clog. Plus, I have a high instep and I had NO problem with the fit. I wear a Wide width and had no problem with the width. Overall, it is a beautiful clog. P.S. Comes in Medium and Wide.

I think she means her foot was the exact size of the shoe. It came all the way to the back of the open shoe leaving not even a smidge of room. I don't like that either. I like a little room back there - 1/8" or so.

@hoosieroriginal, I don't like a perfect fit. I like a little room behind my heel and some space in front of my toes. Now in that clog I had a tad of space in the toes and no room behind the heel. I should have worded that sentence it differently. Sometimes your fingers do not keep up with your thoughts.

@santorini. Exactly. Like I said in my reply to @hoosieroriginal, my fingers do not keep up with my thoughts. That said, the clogs are like floating on a cloud that is the comfort level.

@Katcat1. I like the clog and need one like that with a higher heel so my pants don't drag. I too have a high instep.

The description says imported. Do you know which country they were imported from?

@Carmie, No, I do not know the country, but like I said, the comfort is undeniable and please size up at least a 1/2. If I had exchanged I would have gone up 1 size. I have a wide foot. The shoe fit me and absolutely no tightness in the instep area. You are going to love these clogs or you can call me out on it.

@Katcat1 I usually only wear clogs. For some reason, the ones made in Germany always work for me. I swear I have 100% German feet.

i went out to their website and I see that company makes Softspots too. I can wear that brand, so I will order a pair of these.

I have problems getting shoes that are comfortable. My feet are small... I have such short toes and a high arch and a high instep. My children say i have Fred Flintstone feet.

I wear a size 36 in European sizing and a size 6 in American sizing. All of my clogs are made in Germany.

If you enjoy German-type footwear, have you tried Finn? Yes, they are expensive. But oh so comfortable! High, really high quality leathers inside and out. Soft and supple leathers against my diabetic feet are heavenly! My feet are too painful to wear socks, but I love Finn shoes and sandals. I'll pay the cost for the comfort and amazing long-lasting wear. Oh, I buy them on-line from Shoes.com which is much more reasonable than in local retailers.

Finn are high quality, fine leather lined soft footbed. Great for diabetics or other health issues. I may be a huge Birkenstock fan, but I LOVE Finn's also.

You might find a local comfort-type shoe store and try some Finn styles on. Get a feel for them and decide if you like them and are willing to pay the price. Then go on-line to www.shoes.com and purchase them at a better price and free shipping! That's the only way I could possibly afford them. Good luck finding the perfect footwear.
