Hard bottoms, support the foot, just for in house not outside.

LL Bean Wicked Good slippers. Pricey but they hold up. I keep a pair for several years. I wear them all year except for during the summer, when I hust wear an old pair of flip-flops. The slippers I like are the clog style with hard sole.

@court0901Yes, Vionic but I use a slide sandal, not an actual slipper. Works really well for me here in Florida where my lanai is a big addition to my indoor space and I'm in and out frequently. I always like the hard sole and Vionic support.

I invested in a pair of UGG slippers (I use the word "invested" because the brand is not exactly inexpensive). They offer support and comfort, and have lasted for quite a few years.

I really like Daniel Green slippers. They hold up well and there's plenty of choices for sizes, color and type.

My husband gifted me with black UGG slippers for Xmas a few years ago. The dye in the uggs turned my toenails black. I was really surprised. So was he because, as you say, they were expensive.

I bought two pairs of Vionic slippers when I had Plantar Fasciitis in the winter and I love them. I also have a pair of Vionic thongs for the summer.
