Marc Fisher Shoe Not Flattering for Most!

I think these type of shoes look great on a very slender leg when wearing a mini, or a pair of shorts, but for most, it chops the leg off and makes the wearer look like she has stumpy legs. There are modified styles of the glaiator look out there that most can get away with, but today's TSV is a no-go for me. Even though I'm not heavy, I'm only 5' 4" and would never wear them......I want to appear as tall as possible.

I am tall but feel too old to wear these. Don't get me wrong, I stay current as far as fashion goes, but I feel that these shoes would make me look like I'm trying too hard to be a 20-30 something. Just my opinion.

Really? I would have said just the opposite. I see all sizes wearing them and looking good.

Those with cankles, however, well..... they have a tough time with most shoes.... if we're being honest.

I have a few pairs of shoes that are somewhat similar to the TSV (mine have a higher heel and come up further on the leg) and I have to say the secret is what they're paired with. For me they don't work with everyday clothes such as pant and work skirt; they need something more edgy such as shorter shorts, jean rolled up above the ankel, ankle length, skinny pants, a shorter skirt or a flowy bo-ho type dress.

This is the shoe style of the season, but it's not for everyone to be sure.

I'm 5'9" and in my sixties and feel this shoe is too young at heart for me. I think these shoes are very cute and would look terrific on a woman with very slender legs. If you have a fuller calf I don't think this works as well, The pitch of the shoe also looks as it would create too much pressure on the ball of your foot. Been there done that. At any rate, it is cute and it you purchased it I hope you love it.

the comments on this shoe are the same as my comments last week on Susan's huge platform shoes. People jumped on me for saying it was a younger persons shoe w the 6 inch platform. This one to me looks much more elegant and for all ages. Go figure.

Btw, I already bought 2 similar pairs at target for $30. Love em!

The shoes that the Susan Graver vendor wore this morning are similar to the TSV but more flattering with a slimmer heel, IMO.

I also got similar shoes at Target. I don't think it has to be a "young" shoe. It all depends on what you wear it with.I love the look and Target is a great place to buy a trendy shoe that won'tt be worn a lot,or for many seasons.

The shoe makes a woman of shorter stature look even shorter and ridiculous. One must have a slender, tall, build. I really thought the Gladiator look was gone two seasons ago. If one wore long pants, maybe the hem would hide all the ties. This shoe is not for many females and especially overweight females. A very bad selection for a TSV.

I think it depends. I'm 5' 0". I'm short, everyone knows I'm short. I am not fooling anyone's eye into thinking I'm taller by wearing some shoes over others. That trick is too little (ha!), too late for me. That said, there are things I try to avoid, like Logo clothes or "boyfriend sweaters" that would eat me up and make me look like a kid wearing mom's clothing. Shirt hems don't belong just above my knee.

Well I am 65 and 5 ft tall, I think these shoes are hot ! It's all about what you like. Unfortunately I would not order them because I had an Achiiles Tendon repair in Dec of last year, still having some swelling in my foot so I don't want to have to send them back. The other thing for me is the last time I ordered a pair of shoes from QVC they did not fit so I had to return them. They were from B Makosky, pretty expensive so I decided never to buy any shoes from TV.

I would not buy this shoe as I no longer work. Even if I did work I would not buy them. The construction on the shoe looks like it would be uncomfortable. The shoe looks like it has no padding on the footbed and the heel does not look stable. I would be afraid I would fall.

I watched the first presentation of the TSV Marc Fisher gladiator sandals and the shoes only looked good on the slender models. Marc asked the plus sized model Jackie what width shoe she was wearing and she said a medium -- she was wearing the teal blue shoes.

She should have worn the wide ones as there was a lot of space between the laces so that the shoes highlighted a thick ankle in the medium width. I realize that the host and vendor are pushing those shoes as fitting everyone, but when I can see that isn't the case, I'm skeptical.

I predict a lot of these shoes will get returned.

Edited to add that I looked at the Macy's version and they don't have that zipper in the back but otherwise, it's pretty much the same shoe. I also realize I've seen those Marc Fisher sandals that are sold at Macys at Winners in Canada in the tan color but someone had swiped the shoelaces so those shoes were unwearable.

I think these shoes are absolutely gorgeous! However I cant wear heels (blocked or not) due to my back issues. If I could I would have bought them in a heartbeat!

Roll up jeans! They look great with them. Jeans with an inseam of 26. I have a pair similar and I wear them with jeans. I don't like to wear them with jean cut offs, but they are popular with them too. These come with a stacked heel, so that means it will be more comfortable. I usually only wear stacked heels. I also love fake lace ups. Cute having the zipper on the back. I thinkTSV are cute.

Pretty much going against the grain here. Some shoes are just plain UGLY, UNATTRACTIVE and look horrible on everyone. That being said, I am Old School and think shoes should look feminine!!! Dainty ladylike shoes even in tennis shoes. This is my opinion---------tedEbear

When I received the pre email for these, I thought they were really nice, and I considered ordering the blue. But when I saw them on air this morning, I just didn't like them all that much. I'm not a fan of the laces, and something about them just is not all that flattering. Well, I do have way too many shoes already, so this saves me some money!!
