Nothing wrong with having that footbed on the sandals that are likely to go in the water, but it's on almost *all* of the sandals, leaving no choice. I've seen enough comments by others to know that people are not buying because of the plastic footbeds. There should be more of a mix between the two.

During today's show, I could have purchased 1-2 pair of the new sandals - but they are still insisting on making most of their sandals with the composite "plastic/rubber" footbed. I'm only one of quite a few people who have complained that their feet sweat and slide on this footbed, they get blisters from the dots, etc. and to please make them with the sueded material covering the footbed. They are only doing that rarely, randomly, and today some colors of the same shoe had sueded footbeds while other colors didn't! That's ridiculous.

There are alternative shoes to buy, even for those like me with severe pronation. Vionic is forcing me to seek out those alternatives when I'd rather not have to. They are getting the prices to a decent point and with more Easy Pays, but I will not buy another pair of Vionics with that darned EVA footbed.

I have to agree with you! I saw those Vionic thongs with the colored footbeds that were so cute but I hate the bumpy plastic insole. My feet perspire a lot, and I need the sueded footbed. I know that some say the sueded is too hot, but not for me. I find that the sueded is more comfy too. I wish they would stop making the insoles that look like fake wood! I have two pairs of Vionic clog slippers and love them! I alternate them every other day. Just can't wear the same pair of shoes two days in a row, have to give them a rest, lol.

I have quite a few pair of the closed shoes and love them. I'm not crazy about many of the..um...embellishments on the sandals (big fake jewels, big metal rings) but I would buy some of the simpler, plainer ones with a sueded footbed. I have an ordinary medium width foot and I find their medium width sandals wide, so lots of sliding going on and the Plastic footbed just makes that worse. I noticed the other day that Liam is finally saying on air that the Tide flip-flops and the sandals with the same footbed are best for people with medium-WIDE feet and NOT medium-narrow feet. I would love a narrow width Tide with a sueded footbed. Not any time soon though, I'll bet :-(

I do not buy this brand but, with the high cost of these shoes .. a leather/suede foot bed would make more sense. The plastic is too hot in the summer.

I totally agree, leave the bumps off and give us a smooth footbed! The bumps leave blisters on my feet too after walking in them for awhile - don't know the purpose of the bumps! Pleaseeeeee! I will consider buying another pair if you have a smooth footbed.

I so agree that the plastic bumpy footbed is very uncomfortable especially in the summer heat! Yes, our (my) feet sweat in the very hot temps we have in the south and prefer suede footbeds, will not buy these anymore and I have at least 6 or 7 pairs that are going to be given away. I found that Belk's carries Vionic sandals and those do NOT have plastic footbeds and are the same price as on QVC. Hopfully someone will listen to the customers and change the footbeds to suede!

I'm doing alright with the bumpy footbed, much more comfortable than the Dr. Weil wedges I got. My foot is still sore from wearing them earlier this week. Oddly, only the left foot is sore and on the outside, opposite the arch. I may have to donate them. That character should spend less time drawing on legs and more time about who they are really for.

Yes! Totally agree. I have suffered with plantar fasciitis in the past so I must wear a shoe with a supportive footbed. I've become quite the shoe expert over the years just so I don't have a reoccurrance of the PF. I have tried the Vionics from time to time, but just can't get used to the very hard, plastic footbed. And, yes, the bumps just irritate me! I much prefer a suede covered footbed as well, such as those found in Birkenstocks and Naots. But, lately, I have been having a hard time find supportive footbed sandals that fit my feet correctly. I've been looking at the Vionics out in the department stores, but I've noticed that the Vionics are starting to looking kind of cheap yet still are on the pricey side. Most of the Vionics are plastic - no natural materials at all. I've noticed that since they severed their relationship with Dr. Weil, they seem to no longer make their shoes with leather and/or suede. I don't think the quality of the materials justifies their prices.

sueeich, google "Aetrex" shoes. They are my new favorites. PF-friendly footbeds covered in baby-soft suede. Blissfully comfortable. The company has its own website (and stores in the east coast) but you can get great deals on shoebuy dot com. Nice materials and well made, classic-appearing. About the same cost as Vionics.

That is a much more durable footbed. I purchased the thong style Vionic (Orthoheel back in 2013) with the bumpy footbed, and they are just like new. I wore them a lot too.

The latest TSV thong Cassie, with a different footbed has already peeled to the point I can't wear them anymore. The black pair are the worst. I ordered a pair in white that has a cork-like footbed, and that is holding up better.

Very disappointed in the Cassie style.

The Cassie.
