I've noticed B. Makowsky handbags appearing on the lunchtimes special on occasion, but I haven't noticed his products on any of the regular shows. Is his line being phased out?

I think his handbags are really nice- but they're SO HEAVY. With the amount of stuff I carry, my handbags needs to be light.

Q was overkill having him on for a long time, it seemed to be daily! It was really too much.

Initially, his handbags were relatively nice. The quality suffered over the years and even among some of his older bags, there were issues... He and the Q got in, made a bundle, saturated the market and got out... The brand isn't actually his and hasn't been for some time, as it was sold, along with KVZ and Tig to an Asian conglomerate a number of years ago.

We were inundated with B Mak bags for a couple years, and a lot of the styles were redundant.

Now, we're being inundated with Oryany and Dooney bags.

I wonder what's next ...

I have probably 10 B. Mak bags. Some from QVC, others from Dillards. I haven't had any problem with them. One of my top 5 bags, and I hate to admit I probably have about 50 bags, is a B.Mak one. It has the organization I need without being too big. I liked it so much in the black, that when it was an LTS about 18 months ago in white, I bought it.

They really are running Dooney into the ground,, and well on the way with oryany and yes, even GILI... Repetition of the same products over and over seems to be what the Q now does best...

I think he is slowing leaving like Kathy van zeeland. It's a shame. I loved watching him with his bags.

I have two of his handbags, and love them!! Mine are not heavy, and have not given any problems. I agree with others that are saying Dooney and Oryany are on air way too often.

There are so many brands they might bring in to offer variety, but it seems pretty clear that the BMak brand is pretty much done here, and elsewhere for that matter.

I don't own any of his bags but I do remember him being on air a LOT!! I do own many Dooney's and just received the upcoming OorYANY TSV (#A268182) in the Mushroom Multi which I love!!! I haven't watched any of their shows because their bags just were not my style and huge. But when I saw this one in the Insider I know I had to own one. IT's a beauty.

I still enjoy watching Dooney shows but seems like a lot I don't like or its the same ole thing.

I loved the leather on his bags...top quality!

I think he flips houses now. He just flipped and sold the most expensive home in LA...and made ANOTHER bundle.

Love or hate his bags - he's quite a businessman!

Never bought one even when I liked the style. Could not stand that "signature animal lining," he must have bought the world's supply of that material, it is the only one he ever used.

As for Kathy's bags, that fad went in and out in less than a year.

Kathy's bags were on ShopHQ. I don't know if Evine has them or not.

I have seen Kathy's bags in person at T. J. Maxx and Gabriel's, both of which seem like overstock or resale stores to me.

I think the quality must have gone way down after the sale, at least on Kathy's bags. I don't know about Bruce's bags.

The Kathy bags at Gabriel's looked especially cheap. They did not even come close to the quality of two bags I got years ago from QVC, which were much, much nicer.

I have quite a few of his bags from when he was first on Q. The leather was thick and gorgeous and the zippers were first quality (a sticking point for me). As time has gone on, I've donated a ton of bags, but never his because of the quality of his leather. I've found that just like the solid gold weight in the 90s compared to the silicone filled gold now, the leathers of most of the bags being produced now just can't compete with the older bags. Now everyone has lightened the load by using thinner leathers and/or gluing them to cardboard! The zippers stick, the linings are cheap, and they'll use poor quality or faux leather for trim and handles. And charge a fortune for these inferior bags. So, I'm one who still loves her BMak bags.
