Best Crossbody

Help me out ladies. I want an easy crossbody bag. I would like it to be of "medium
size, at least 11 or 12 inches . I do not want a TEENY one. I like the ORYANY, I am just afraid to venture out. I am tired of sending stuff back too. I would like almost a tote style, or satchel with a nice long strap.

Help me ladies, I know you will!

I have always liked Fossil cross body bags. The leather is very high quality. A lot od department stores like Macy's carry them, so you could look at them in person.

My favorite is the Dooney & Bourke pebble grain crossbody. D&B style R264. The Q is sold out of it now but you can google it to see it. Measurements 10.25 x 10.25 x 4 it has an outside zipper, two length shoulder straps, inside it has a lot of compartments the perfect crossbody IMO. I have 3 of them.

You might want to steer away from the Brahmin "Cleo" crossbody, it is very heavy, before you load it up. I ordered it in the pecan and it was a lovely bag, but just too heavy. I have a crossbody from J.Jill that is very nice.

Without a doubt it is the Kate Spade Cobble Hill "ellen". I have a huge collection of handbags. I wear thisone all the time. I probably have sold a dozen of them to friends and people who have seen mine. I just gifted my GD with one this Christmas. I am 68, she is 19. That's how versatile and universal it is. It is light, soft but strong pebble leather. The lining is super strong silky nylon stripe. It has a huge zipper pocket on outside and pockets inside It just lays on the body good, with adjustable strap. Then the chain detail makes the bag cute. It is 11 inches I believe. I bought 2 of mine(for gifts) with points on american express. Then I bought one at Kate Spades sale she has several times a year

Explore the Brighton line. They have a lot of styles (including nylon which I favor) and even their leathers are lightweight. Great customer service. I like "Blaine".

I love Brighton and have three of their microfiber handbags called Brighton's Lightweights that Hi Cindy posted above. I have two Charlie Pocket Crossbody messengers in tropical punch and the candy apply red, and the Carol Mini Organizer in black with black leather patent trim. The Carol can be purchased on brighton.com, but the various colors of the Charlie can only be found on ebay.com due to it being discontinued. The Charlie black with black trim and black with brown trim can still be found at brighton,com. Here are the wonderful features of Brighton bags and wallets:

1. Microfiber is very lightweight and easily cleaned with a damp cloth.

2. The amount of organization in Brighton bags are unsurpassed and no designer handbag company can compare to Brighton, in my opinion.

3. All straps are leather and finished on both the outer and undersides unlike Dooney, which drives me absolutely crazy that they don't finish their leather straps.

4. All Brighton straps have a moveable sewn on loop that holds the excess strap, and unlike most other companies, the excess strap leather flaps and again looks so unfinished, which is another pet peeve of mine.

5. This is a family, privately-held business, which means that they go the extra mile to make customers happy and feel appreciated. Out of the blue, Brighton will send me a FREE coin purse, $25.00 gift certificates, and at Christmas time, they sent me a $50.00 gift certificate, free shipping coupon, and other extras in a goody bag that I had to pick up at the store.

6. Brighton has beautiful jewelry-quality adornments on their handbags, which is the same quality as their jewelry, which I have so many pieces and go to them over my sterling silver that tarnishes and is a pain to main, but not Brighton jewelry!

At Christmas and with the $50 gift certificate, is when I purchased my first Brighton microfiber crossbody, the Carol Mini Organizer with a built in wallet, and now I'm absolutely hooked on microfiber and won't buy leather any more! Since Christmas, I bought the Charlie Pocket Crossbody messengers in tropical punch and candy apple red, and I'm looking at the other colors of the Charlie on ebay.com.

I have had many Brighton bags over the years and I continue to purchase their bags, wallets, and jewelry because this company is unsurpassed in customer service, and products with superb quality, function, and style!

Found a cute Nine West cross body faux leather in dove gray at Marshalls for $16.99. It is lightweight and measures 9 1/2" w 7 1/2" h and 2 1/2" d. It has a zipper exterior pocket I use for keys & cell. Love it. All of my handbags are leather, but this one looks just like pebble leather and is soooo lightweight. Love it.

I'll admit I saw a Kay Spade that was TDF, but even on clearance a little too much for my budget. Excellent craftsmanship in citron. Drool...
