Now that Lisa Robertson is leaving, do you think the GILI line will continue? Will the TSV on October 27th still be the GILI Hobo or will that change now?

I hope it will continue. Lisa has made several references to things that are coming up in the future for GILI, and Katie confirmed on FB that the Roma 3 was coming next year. I guess if GILI disappears, or if someone else is the prime seller for it, then we will know a lot more about what has transpired.

As for the hobo TSV, I'm sure it will air on schedule. They're already made and packaged and ready to ship, plus Lisa is still posting pics of the bag.

This is just speculation....I think Gili will continue on QVC with Courtney as host.

I don't see how GILI can continue without the woman who supposedly influences and sort of curates the line. I'm sure there are items in the pipeline that QVC can't just walk away from. My guess is one of the other young hosts will suddenly have a line of her "favorites". Perhaps Gabrielle or Amy. She's with QVC until Dec, so there would be no reason to cancel any GILI tsv's or shows through November.

No idea on the line, but they'll clearly not dump existing Gili stock and in as much as the handbag is likely ready to go, surely they'll still put it out there.

They've invested so much in Gili being 'Lisa's' line for QVC that if they keep it, they're going to have to find some new way to package it... and might possibly rename it. It's going to be impossible in the short term for them to keep is as a host-based line of goods.

I don't see how GILI could continue without Lisa, since the designs all reflect her taste, and it's been marketed that way. When other hosts present it they always refer to it as Lisa's line, not QVC's line.

Perhaps whatever her next move is, it will include GILI continuing. Either way, we will know soon, since it's an obvious question and one I don't think she and QVC can avoid for long, especially with the TSV coming up.

It will be sort of interesting to see what they do, whether they 're-brand' it, keep the name or do away with it altogether... Given they seem to be all about house brands these days, I'd bet they'll keep it in some form, for at least a while.

Friday night during the chat on Lisa's FB page, Katie answered a poster who asked about GILI. I saw someone else paraphrase it as GILI would continue but more as fashion only. I finally went and found the exact response for myself, and what Katie said about GILI continuing is this:

"Hi Elizabeth(the person she was answering), you will still see GILI."

That's it, no other details.

99% of GILI items were not things that Lisa owned- anyone could point to a piece of clothing, purse, jewelry item, etc., and say, "I like it"- QVC established the line SOLEY because they knew very well that people would purchase despite poor quality (majority of items have poor reviews)- If Lisa said, "I like it" then the fans would sprint to the phone lines- QVC execs aren't stupid!

For the millionth time ! The G.I.L.I. line belongs to QVC, not Lisa !! She didn't patent it and buy the rights to it!

it's obvious you don't. What a silly question.

No one has said that that Lisa OWNS GILI. However, her designs and aesthetic, knock offs or not, are what the GILI has been so far, and Lisa has been the primary force behind promoting and selling it. GILI would not have existed without Lisa. Simple as that. So how it will survive if she is no longer a part of it is an obvious question, obviously.

Maybe consider thinking that before you run around the forum screaming at people for thinking Lisa owns GILI.

Hard to say. The clothes have mixed reviews at best, seems sizing problems are a consistent issue unless you are tiny. I ordered the military coat when it first debuted, but the reviews were so resoundingly awful that I canceled. Even people who sized up couldn't wear it.

I do love some of her bags, though, and a lot of those have great reviews. The Chelsea Hobo is one of my favorite all time bags.

I bought 3 not knowing she made them.i got many compliments and with the right heel you feel so nice wearing them. One color is not all that but they fit like a glove and as for lunch with fiiends you can set in comfort. I am suprised at Lisa . I feel like sexy in these. and have about 9 of the other items. You do it on these girl

I got that coat too. The sizing wasn't an issue. The VERY poor quality was! And I did get influenced by Chi-town girl a little (LOL) and ordered other clothes too from that show. All went back....Still debating on that wool jacket....it's nice but it cost $170.....same price as Isaac's coat of the same style!
