More Easy Pays?

I wrote to the Q, asking if they would be offering more easy pays on a certain handbag I've got my eye on and I got this encouraging response: "We're exploring the
possibilities of expanding Easy Pay, and you may soon see changes that will
broaden your opportunities." I hope this will mean more easy pays offered more frequently on more products!

That would be nice and it would also be nice if by saying 'may' they mean 'will' and by saying 'soon' they actually mean soon... They could 'explore' it forever, we want to see action!

ShopHQ seems to offer their form of EZpay everyday on all items and I seem to be purchasing from them and watching them more often as a result...

Wonder how long they've been studying? When LLBean went to free shipping, I read that it took them three years of planning to get there. Of course, since that's a private company we don't know how successful it's been for them; I just know I haven't purchased anything since they went free, but that was because I'd been disappointed with something during that 3-year run-up to free shipping. Also, I haven't been at all impressed with the LLB in my Sears stores- although I haven't looked at all in 2014.

Anyway, hope you all get what you want - I'll use the EZPays if they're offered, but I'm not buying anything just because it's on EZP (or even just because it's been reduced) - Still on my "If you already have it, use it" kick. Still have to buy occasionally, but very seldom right now. Q or anywhere else.

I wasn't aware that LL Bean was in Sears stores. I know that Lands End and Sears merged a few years back and that some Sears stores now carry a small Lands End selection. I believe that since Sears and Kmart merged, some Lands End might also have shown up in Kmart, but I'm not sure.

HSN is also far more flexible with their version of EP. QVC is really the lone holdout of the three as far as being so tight-fisted with the installment option.

If HSN or ShopHQ were to offer handbags from Dooney and Bourke, I'm sure they would have the monthly payment options as a matter of course, as well as frequent free shipping, and I would be buying from them instead (especially since Dooney.com stopped offering their monthly payment option). Since there's no competition out there for payment options on Dooney bags, the Q can pick and choose which bags/how many payments/how often they offer them and that's too bad for us, the consumers.

They did say the other day that every TSV between now and Xmas will be on EP, so that's nice.

IF they really do this anytime soon, I would LOVE to see them carry some on the nicer D&B bags, such as the Alto line. I bet if they offered those bags on EP they would sell out in record time.

Making an educated assumption about the kinds of things that, for the most part, will be TSV's between now and Christmas, I'm not sure I can get really excited about this one...

I would love more EZ pays and would definitely purchase more items if this comes to pass. It's great for handbags and high ticket items like quality kitchenware. I've been able to give Kitchen Aid mixers to two of my friends without having to worry about my credit card balance and interest.

Now I'll be obsessively checking the boots & handbag I've had on my wish list for a year to see if they're offered on EZ pay.

I used to purchase the majority of items from qvc but they are so stingy on the easy pays I've done a lot more shopping with Shophq and hsn. It's too bad qvc isn't paying attention or listening. People are asking for it.

Interesting response. Jtv seems to be offering their version of easy pay on almost everything now. Perhaps Q is moving in that direction.

It seems maybe the Q has resisted unleashing Easy Pay, based on what works for customers rather than for them, for as long as they can...
