Can Anyone Answer these questions about the Dooney Florentine Satchel?

I saw the Dooney Florentine Satchel in Macy's yesterday. I LOVE the outside design....Can anyone answer these questions for me?

1. They had this bag so stuffed with paper, plus they lock them up at my Macys, so it was hard to decide it this bag's upper across the top exterior zipper would give ample room for getting items in and out of the bag?? It looked like the upper opening may be too small for the size of the bag???

2. Does the green lining rub off on items?? The larger red lining I've had before with no problems but the green upper lining looks like a different fabric in the pics???

I really would appreciate any comments or assistance before I invest this many dollars into this bag and then end up possibly not liking it.
