Hi...Ordered this tote in Ivory...love it! Tempted to order ice metallic...not shown in video. Anyone have ice metallic? Is it "too much" metallic going on? Please describe the color/leather... Please give your review! Thanks!!

Now that all the Roma 2 colors are available, QVC needs to show the earlier videos so we can see all of the color selections.

The metallic Roma 2 is soft and pliable, not stiff. It has a slightly "tacky" touch because it's the "suede" side of the leather. Your fingers will not glide over the surface as they will with the black Roma 2.

The bag is not a pure silver color. There's a Lisa FB photo where she's looking in a store window and the metallic looks very silver. In person, at least in every light I put mine in, it looks slightly more gold-ish than silver, and the gold hardware casts a gold tone on the bag's surface near the hardware. The finish is not a shiny foil metallic. It "glows" and is very neutral. Both silver and gold jewelry look good with this color.

I have examined this bag and whatever is applied to create the color is ON there and has become part of the leather. It doesn't flake off. When viewed very up-close, the color is a combination of different shades (from very light to very dark) of tiny metallic gold and silver explosions, but the effect is subdued and iridescent.

I don't think there's too much metallic because the effect is neutral -- a calm color -- not one of those metallic bags where you can see your reflection.

OMG I love my iced metallic! It was my favorite until I got the Espresso Lizard and then it ties for second place when I got my Ivory Ostrich........seriously though, it's a FRESH neutral for summer! Goes with anything since it has the silver and gold hardware! It's soft as can be, already broken in! Much softer than the ostrich............GO FOR IT

The Iced Metallic is a beautiful bag. However, I've had to return mine twice, because there were slashes across the tassels on both, and the last one also had a slash on the bottom. I'm afraid to order again, because I'll probably get a return.

Ms Lomo, you got me with iridescent. What do you think about keeping it clean - is this a bag that will stain and show dirt easily?

I know Lisa said that the ostrich bags could be wiped off.

Like I need another Roma.....I am surprised at how much I love this bag.

You are not alone...I received a snake bag with defective handles. Just received the replacement, and it's worse! Major issues with peeling handles. Can't believe the 2nd bag passed QC. I'm not going for #3. Q needs to get this right or stop selling the colors with QC issues. I do have the blush, and she is perfect.

I see this wearing quite well so far and I've carried it alot and left it in my car in the heat and hung it on every kind of chair possible and it's gotten TONS OF COMPLIMENTS! Go for it and if you don't like it just return it!

My hesitation now is the 'will I or won't I' get a defective bag and/or somebody else 's return. I've been lucky with the black, espresso and blush. Snake is in process and I have my fingers crossed. The whole return/exchange process is so slow. First world problems, I know. I think I need handbag rehab. Just love love love these Roma's.

Me too!!!! I have all of them except the black and am about to order that one I think? Even though I have a black Gucci and so many black bags I am thinking I want the Roma as well..........do you love your black? Have you heard of any being defective in the black? I just got a natural Ostrich that was replaced from having a damaged one and it was perfect so I wouldn't assume you're getting a return

Krissie, that's a good Q about keeping it clean because I don't think you can condition it by rubbing anything on it since it's the suede side. But I think it's a good one for everyday wear and dings. It's hard to notice, for example, any leather imperfections because there's a lot going on that creates the metallic color, and there's the luminescent quality that might distract the eye from a stain. Hard to say what would happen if something really big landed on it, like a cup of Pom juice or ink. (I sure don't want to think about either of those getting on any of them.) Good to know, sherrisuzanne, about your experience with the metallic. I think it would be fine to wipe it down.

My only other comment about the metallic is that I don't think it looks in person as "silver" as it looks online or in photos. It's a warmer tone with more gold cast than I expected.

it's hard to describe the iced metallic except to say it's really elegant and luxurious looking, not that cheap gawdy silver metallic, but rather a mixture, iridescent is the perfect term for it. I can't tell you how many people have complimented and touched it...............don't touch my ROMA!!!! LOLOLOL

I'd like your opinion, if you own both the Ice Metallic and the Ivory Ostrich. I had to return the Ice Metallic the second time, but I love the look of the bag. Would I be better off ordering another Ice Metallic or getting the Ivory Ostrich? I already have the Blush and the Natural Ostrich. The only reason I hesitate about the Ivory Ostrich, is that I already have a light color bag; and where I live, we have cold weather 8 months out of the year. Thanks for your recommendation.

Sherrisuzanne, I just now saw the other posts that were posted while I was writing my message, and you asked about the black. Do you already own the Gucci Soho that the Roma 2 is modeled after? If not, I don't blame you for wanting the black Roma 2. It is a real classic. Rich, deep, sumptuous black leather. The only problem with the black one (that I didn't have with the metallic) is the (turbo) bug spray odor. After I conditioned the black one (using leather cleaner and conditioner that I had bought in a furniture store), I heavily sprayed two sheets of paper towels with Bath & Body Works "Warm Vanilla Sugar" and put them in the bottom of the Roma -- along with two water bottles in a gallon plastic bag. It's back on the doorknob where it's airing out. I want that smell to be gone because I have asthma. Other than that, it's perfect and very beautiful. Customer Service told me recently that a new shipment of 4,000 black Roma 2's had just come in, so I don't think you'll get a return. I haven't read complaints about the black except for the odor. My top two favorite Roma 2's (although they're all beautiful) are the metallic and the black.

Lyn, I am interested in hearing answers to your question about the ivory ostrich, too. Is it summery looking? Is it warm-tone? I prefer cool-tone. My opinion is that your natural ostrich will satisfy any need you would have for the ivory ostrich. And I think the metallic is more year-round than the ivory ostrich.

I was going to change my order from Ivory Ostrich to Ice Metallic, but I decided not to change it. I've had problems twice with the Ice Metallic, so maybe it's not meant to be. I'm going to go ahead with the Ivory Ostrich. If I don't like it, I can always send it back. It seems most people are happy with the Ivory Ostrich. I'd go with black, but I have two black Coach bags already.

My recommendation would be to get the Ice Metallic as it goes with everything and it is the most unique color I've ever seen in a metallic. The Ivory Ostrich is a STUNNER but given what you've said about having another light color bag I'd go with the iced metallic!
