Fringe on handbags - yes or no?

I was looking at the Hot Picks for today and saw A233941 orYANY Leather Bristol Fringe and I really like it but is fringe "in"? I know "if you like it buy it and don't worry about what's in style" but I also don't want to look like I have no fashion sense. Do you know what I mean?

So I am looking for your opinions on this bag and/or type of bag.

Love Love Fringe tassels -and I am over middle age. I get so many compliments when I wear them. A235990 is a very pretty bag, great size lots of pockets. I see quite of them being worn in California. Try and enjoy..

In, out, indifferent, I don't care for it in most instances and am also getting a little weary of all the fake zippers, tassels, studs, etc...

I wouldn't buy that Oryany bag.

The fringe hangs down below the bottom of the bag. So every time you put it down, the fringe's leather strands are going to splay, some bent forwards and some creased under the weight of the bag. That's all going to add up.

I recently bought this bag as an ""as is"" purchase. I love it. I really like the fringe tassels on it. So I vote ""Yes"" for fringe.

Fringe is always "in." But if you don't like fringe, then you shouldn't buy it.

Fringe has been Very big lately.....seeing it on handbags, boots, scarves, tops etc. and I get compliments nearly every time I carry my fringed bag.

I am waiting to receive this bag in mushroom. It's got great reviews and I think it looks fun. So glad I didn't read these posts before ordering. I wonder how many ladies in real life will be looking at me and thinking these same thoughts. :/

I like fringe ... it's fun and a nice change of pace. I generally carry mine in summer and fall, though.

I just ordered a "vintage-style" red hobo, with lots of fringe (not from the Q, tho).......and YES, I am an "aging hippie"........

I think fringe is A classic' and the style of the bag make's the difference too! I have a few ' just about every hand bag company has fringe bag's in there line. look' at some the biker's black leather stuff! it's still in it has no age limit but ' I do agree that too long of fringe that hang's down to your knee's no"" . it's not such a groovy thing any more ' it's the style!!! love it

Fringe & tassels....are they trying to hide something? It's like they're a ""trick of the eye"" to have us overlook poor craftsmanship or materials.
