QVC HAS NO CONTACT INFORMATION... Please don't purchase B Makowsky's purses

My son in law purchased a purse for my daughter for a gift after Christmas. Just after 2 months (too late to return) the leather cracked.. It is item A236111, a B. Makowskys purse.

I called customer service twice, the second time I asked for a supervisor and was told twice there is no contact information for Makowsky???

I found a link/website of his... sent a message and no reply.

I understand purses do not have warranties and this was not an "As Is" purse, it was full price. $200 is a lot of money to pay for something that does not last more than two months.

Shame on you QVC for selling Makowsky's bags, and shame on B Makowsky for not having better quality.

My daughter is a manager in a well known department store and trust me they do not treat their customers like this.

What makes me feel bad, I suggested he buy this purse for her, which is why I am writing on his behalf.. Trust me, I won't recommend QVC again!

I have found that if an item is clearly defective, you can STILL RETURN AFTER THE 30 DAYS.

I had a B. Mac bag and had problems with the handles. After 2 or 3 months QVC accepted it without any issues and refunded my money.

@$)@! happens. If your daughter works for a major department store, it should be easy to get a phone number for the B Makowsky company. Even if her store doesn't carry that line, someone should be able to get it for her from a colleague in another store.

If QVC will not back the quality of this expensive bag to you a good customer.. I would NEVER ORDER FROM QVC AGAIN if I were you. Shame on QVC for not taking care of you and having vendors who do not back the quality standards that Qvc stands for. Doesn't the ""Q"" stand for quality???????

All that could happen is they would return the item back to her and say they can't accept the return. At least I would think that's what they would do.

I agree she shouldn't have to incur the return postage but she can be out $9.00 or $200.00.

You can send it back without contacting CS first. In my case, I contacted them first via email and told them the bag was defective and I wasn't charged the return shipping and handling. My bag was one that was known for having problems.

Try a google search for B. Makowsky, you find his website that no one responds to and a list long of complaints about his bags posted on QVC's message boards/forums... some go back several years.

if they dont refund her then they would just send the handbag back. qvc is usually pretty good about refunding in a case like this. have you tried getting in contact with someone via their facebook page?

This is a known issue. Bruce sold it off a while back. Just google the company name and you read of complaints with bags and no CS.

Sorry this happened to you. If you like B. Mak bags, get them as cheap as possible, because it appears that there isn't any warranty. That is why I bought one and only one.

This has been a problem with this company even before Bruce sold out to the Chinese. Their rotten reputation has probably contributed to their slow death. If they were proud of their product they'd have a good customer service department like Coach and Dooney have. They're obviously not in business for the long haul. Many retailers have already dropped them. It's truly "buyer beware" where Makowsky handbags are concerned. As others have said, I'd send it back now.

i have not had any problems with qvc not standing behind a handbag they sell.....no matter what brand it is.

I returned a BM bag with no problem, within the 30 days. The color ran on mine (rainy day and I set my handbag on my countertop). Fortunately, I was able to scrub the color off the granite without ruining it. Good luck to you.

Thanks for the contact information... You know you are in trouble when they answer the phone "hello" and no company name? I find out it is the phone number for "Rosetti Handbags" and they sell them at JCPennys etc... Sweet, but I did give the 4th person I talked to my phone number and email address, so we shall wait and see..

Thank you, the link you provided, I contacted weeks ago and no reply. Thanks for your help. I really am hesitant on her sending it back, in the event B Makowsky's company pulls through, but with all the things I have read, I highly doubt it
