I do live in mostly casual clothes. I have a handful of dresses, a couple skirts that I love to wear but mostly wear capris or denim and a wide array of tops.

Since I have been trying to amp up my daily walking, I have actually worn tennis shoes to work (always a no no for me but no one cares here) often this year. I am on the hunt for some cute comfy walking/working shoes.

Do you live in an RV??? We just bought a 25ft (smallish) 5th wheel and are moving into it for long term. Last night I discovered my slim hangers are too big and pitched a little fit about it. I am off to Bed Bath and Beyond to exchange - hoping the children's size ones will keep my clothing on them. I can get my hanging clothes to a 3ft rod but I need my skinny hangers!!

I am retired and spend many days - all day - at home , or at least around my neighborhood. Most days I dress very casually. In the summer we live at a campground so also extremely casual. I love easy to care for casual clothing and have fallen big time for the denim and co knit terry tops. I have 4 shirts and a hoodie in this fabric - wonderful to wear, soft and attractive, and the epitome of easy care - wash on hot, put in dryer and hang on a hanger without getting those bumps that t shirts get from hangers.I have very limited drawer space at camp and need to be able to hang as much as possible - thus, these D&Co terry shirts fit the bill perfectly for me.They feel heavier than a t but I do not find them to be at all hot to wear - and I live in Florida. They have them in several configurations, 3/4 sleeve, short sleeve, tunics (my fav) and regular length. If you are looking for easy wear , easy care , doesn't wrinkle casual tops I highly recommend these.

Last time I dressed up was for my son's wedding three years ago. I like the Dream Jeanne capris, without the bling -- not particularly fashionable maybe but comfy and they launder well. There's a brand of Arizona t-shirts that I particularly like right now. Otherwise my tops are from Chico's and a few D&C. I snowbird between WA and AZ.

I am glad you found something that you love and works for your life. When I find something that works for me I buy more than one too. When I find a good pair of trousers for work I will buy them in multiples if they have them.

I could never live at a campground all summer. My idea of camping is a nice hotel. I camped once for a weekend as a Girl Scout, and I have never done it since. My DH and his family camped every summer. He has lots of pictures and stories to tell from the days of his youth. When I retire (5 - 10 years from now) I would love to have a condo on the beach in Florida, but alas, I don't have enough money for that. Enjoy your D & Co. tops and your days at the campground this summer.

I'm also retired, well retired from my career, and also dress totally casual. I take care of my grandsons before and after school and all day when school is out. If I'm not at home, or at their home, I'm places that are fun and casual. During cooler weather, I'm all jeans all the time with sweater or knit tops. In warmer weather it's pedal pushers and various lightweight tops, and once in a very great while a cotton sundress.

I used to order D&C, but their prices plus s&h and tax have gotten too high in my opinion. I have lots places to shop locally and can buy similar items for a lot less.

No, I still work full-time and have to be at least business casual most days. On the days I see clients I usually wear a jacket and pants or a dress or a skirt with a nice top. We dress a little more casually on Fridays, but I still strive to look nice and put-together.

Today, for instance, I am wearing Ann Taylor dark-wash jeans and a new navy and white print cotton blouse (with the sleeves rolled up) from Banana Republic. My shoes are nude peep-toe slingback 3" wedges.

I once worked for a company that had casual Fridays and I tell you, some of the employees rolled in looking like they had just worked in the yard! I wanted no part of that.

I agree with all of you. I am retired and live in casual, comfy clothes. I spent 35 years dressing in suits and now am loving every minute of being in something that is not form fitting. I live in leggings and tunic tops. D&Co is probably what I have the most in my closet but I have added a few Liz Claiborne and a few LOGO. I love Linea capri's. The fit is the best that I have found. It seems that I'm always running to the store or tending to a dog or etc. and I need clothing that is easy care. I'm not into the layering style.

Prices have really gone up on both the products and the S&H. I try to take advantage of clearance pricing or free S&H of $$ of for the multiple on those pieces that I reach for every week. I've cut way back on my purchasing of everything and am really trying to stick to my revised budget. I see more and more reviews about inconsistent sizing and that just turns me off. S&H is too high and it takes longer to process a return. I have noticed that lately you really need to watch your credits especially if you are returning a defective item so you get you correct amount credited to your account. These factors really make me think twice before I purchase which actually helps me stick to my budget.

Of course most of the time, I am doing housework and gardening. I dress up a bit if I have to go out to do some shopping, and of course I dress up for Sunday church and dining. Flip flops, T shirts, and capris are not for church anymore than a leather skirt suit and heels are for weeding in the garden.

We used to have a 32 ft fifth wheel but it was rather cramped for us so we sold it and bought a 43 ft destination trailer (the new buzz word for a park model). Ours is a Hy Line. We absolutely love it - we also went for the extra bucks to get into a premier campsite so we are very contented with our summer living arrangements. Our campground has a lot of history and one of it's past lives women who worked the local farms lived in barracks here during WW 11. So when they knocked down the barracks many years later they left a brick fireplace in our campsite - free standing. So it is cool - when we build a fire all the smoke goes up the chimney, no one gets it in their face. We are sitting on a hillside overlooking a small town -the church there rings out the hours all day and all night - at 9AM - nine bells etc. we love it - a homey touch. We live in a very small town in Fl. all winter and an even smaller town in Pa in the summers, for two folks from the city it is a nice change.

Are you planning to travel or stay in one place all the time?

My husband and I have a very casual life. I work from home...part time....kind of on call work. I've also been in the process of losing weight. In our closet, I literally have two pairs of "dress pants"- both in black. Oh, and I have a new pair of denim capris because the ones from last year don't fit anymore and I donated them last month. Everything else for me is jeans and tops.

I'm a huge fan of Talbot's "Charming" cardigans, in both prints and solid colors- 3/4 sleeves. I wear them buttoned, no tank underneath. That and some even lighter tops from Talbots and some from QVC are my wardrobe.

My shoe of choice right now is the Riptide model by Easy Spirit 360. I have been living in them. Once it stays hot, I'll be in those and Birkenstocks.

Almost always wearing casual clothes but have a few outfits that are more "dressy" casual, outfits for when hubby and I are out to dinner, visiting friends or away on vacation, etc. I have two gowns, one from DD's wedding and one from nephews wedding, neither of which I'll ever wear again, and a few hold over dresses/pants outfits from before I retired 18 months ago, other than that I wear casual jeans and/or capris everyday.

Maria

On the days I see clients I usually wear a jacket and pants or a dress or a skirt with a nice top. We dress a little more casually on Fridays, but I still strive to look nice and put-together.

Today, for instance, I am wearing Ann Taylor dark-wash jeans and a new navy and white print cotton blouse (with the sleeves rolled up) from Banana Republic. My shoes are nude peep-toe slingback 3" wedges.

I once worked for a company that had casual Fridays and I tell you, some of the employees rolled in looking like they had just worked in the yard! I wanted no part of that.

Maddiecat, your outfit sounds cute!

I need to dress business casual. Can you tell me where you have good luck finding pants? (Not denim).

Is it Ann Taylor most of the time?

I have plenty of denim, but I'm.looking for nicer casual pants that are comfortable. (I work in a school...lots of bending and up and down stairs..etc!)

Since retiring from my wardrobe has gone more decidedly casual. I am still a work in progress trying to not buy too many pieces which are career-oriented. I think every woman should have a good pair of trousers (or skirt), blazer, dress and blouse which are sold as career, but could be worn to a graduation, funeral, business meeting, (hopefully not), but one might even have to go to court. When I go out in the evening I prefer to do a real dress up wearing something I would not wear in a workplace.

Ah, I envy all you retirees! Unfortunately, I'm still a full-time office worker so I have to have two wardrobes, for office and for home/casual. Even our "casual days" at work prohibit denim, although we occasionally get to pay $5 for charity to wear denim.
