I wore http://www.qvc.com/qic/qvcapp.aspx/view.2/app.detail/params.item.A87507.desc.Clarks-Nubuck-Leather-Bungee-Upper-Cutout-Fisherman-Shoes these to school yesterday, and the metal loop that holds the band in place broke before recess duty. I did not have other shoes at school. Two teachers commented that the shoes look brand new. I did have them over a year, but I have 50 pairs of shoes/boots/sneakers/sandals so they are rotated. Those were the shoes I wore on recess days and days I had to do a lot of walking.

Last spring, another pair of fisherman sandals broke: http://www.qvc.com/qic/qvcapp.aspx/view.2/app.detail/params.item.A87604.desc.Clarks-Bendables-Leather-Cutout-Fisherman-Sandals These were my favorite shoes. The bronze broke, but I still have and wear the black and the navy. The velcro pulled right off of the shoe. I tried glueing them back a few times, but it did not work.

I love Clark's and I wanted them to be about the only shoe I buy. I have Spring Steps, too, and they are beautiful, just not as comfortable. I would like both of these shoes to be repaired by Clark's, or be repaired and have Clark's reimburse me. I know a number of ladies tried to contact Clark's about the soles of their shoes crumbling to nothing. Any advice? Unfortunately, I can't make phone calls during the business day!!!!
