SAYINGS/WORDS ON CLOTHING

Many shirts and sweatshirts have words, phrases, affirmations on them. IMHO I just don't like this on my clothing.

How do you feel about this?

In general, I don't care for them for me but I do have a shirt that says grateful - because I am. I also have one that says salty - because I am.

I have a couple of t-shirts with words that I wear while exercising, cleaning house, but that's all. I don't care for words/sayings on my walls, either.

@Shanus Generally speaking, not into them, especially the "affirmation" ones.

But...that said....I have two...

One from Grace & Lace, tee, that says "Better Days Are Yet To Come", with a pretty wild flower design on it. I bought this in memory of my mom, the year she passed in 2020...because one of her regular, uplifting sayings was "Better Days are coming." ❤️ And whenever she said it...I'd believe it, and feel hopeful.

The other is from another of my favorite online brands, Natural Life...Another cool graphic on the front of a sunrise over hills and flower fields, with a winding road...like you're on a journey...that simply says "Let's Go!" ...appealed to my wanderlust self.

Some I like, others, I don't.

There are lots of shirts and sweatshirts that are plain, it's nice to have options.

Most people don't but often I do.

I got a darling tee from DD & family on Mother's Day...it says "Nana" on it and that's ok with me!

However, we are in a stage right now in which EVERYTHING has some sort of logo on it!

Every game, every cheer event, etc, seems to call for a logo. It won't be like this forever!

A big NO! here. I think it looks cute on little kids but not for me. That is one reason why I do not buy PEACE LOVE WORLD items.

Don't mind an inexpensive tee shirt that has words or graphics, but if I'm going to spend a lot on a top I don't like sayings on it

Because I am a huge sports fan, I have a ton of apparel with team logos and such. I have also been given many items with a company logo or a saying on them that I will wear. I have several North Face items with a company logo that I wear. It doesn't bother me.

DH has shirts with symbols for golfers and a pullover with a designer's initials because they match his. For me, no sayings nor designer logo: they are not compensating me for the advertising.

DH went to his friend's funeral where the family had a mountain of neatly folded sports teams tee shirts at the foot of the coffin. His hobby was to go to a game and buy a tee.

For me, no, I do not wear them. With the exception of almost 60 years ago. I had a shirt with "here come the judge". Or maybe it was da instead of the. Emblazoned 3 times across the front, from the Laugh In TV show. Hehehe. The one thing that stands out to me that I don't care for is the PLW "I am Love". A person can be loved, loving, or lovely, but not love. In my opinion anyway.
