Who remembers lining your drawers with contact? What a nightmare.

I don't know what this has to do with fashion, but yes I remember using contact paper for lining shelves and drawers, and covering notebooks. Lots of designs, or clear!?!

I still use it @Bonkers1 but don't find it a nightmare. Maybe many many years ago it was but for me, I love that cleaner look in my drawers and cupboards.

There's lines to follow on the back of the paper so you can cut straight lines and just peel and stick.

@cjm61. I, too, would suggest the memory is very recent. Contact paper comes in handy for many things.

When we had our house built we paid extra for a white shelf product that would make contact paper unnecessary I don't remember what it is called.

I have ALWAYS lined my kitchen and bathroom cabinets with Contact. If they get grungy, I have a whole box load of extra rolls for "replacements".

Yes! Cover a clip board, too!

All sorts of ideas on Pinterest re: recovering clip boards.

Also, nice to use in drawers so items aren't touching wood in drawers.

Easy to clean, too, when used in the kitchen.

Cover empty cans with contact paper.

Cover inside of a white bookshelf, including the back of each open shelf. All sorts of possibilities.

Anyway, very easy to cover just about anything.

Just search Pinterest for inspiration.

As soon as the drawers that I wipe dry I use contact, I do the same thing on our lazy susans in the corner cupboards. Keeps everything easy to clean!

@Bonkers1 I lined the drawers and shelves when we moved here. If someone lived here before us (yes, they did), I'd want MY stuff not lying on their stuff.

I used something that looked like "plastic netting". It just lifts out to clean and you cut to size. It looks like that roll of what you use to hold throw rugs from slipping.

Only one drawback with last type you described: After a few years of heavy duty use on the glassware and cup shelves, I started to find random tiny pieces of cream color "confetti." The little raised non-Slip nubs were wearing off.

I had wondered where this little dot floating on my tea was from !!!

I remember using it and fighting with it, LOL.

I did recently purchase 'Pioneer Woman's drawer paper, and didn't use much because I'm looking for a house.

But it seemed thicker than the ones I remember, still a pain to work with.

Coincidence that you mentioned white paper........

Just recently (a couple of months ago), I lined white shelves with.....................wait for it..........

brown moving paper.

I didn't have the patience to re-paint the shelves where I store canned goods, so I lined them with sheets of that very light brown moving/packing paper.

It kind of blends in, and nobody seems to have noticed (or commented) on it.

I, too, folded it under each shelf and scotch taped it underneath.
