Compression Packing Cubes

I have use the regular one but never the compression ones are the really that much of a space saver. Thank you

I can only speak for my experience -- Yes!

I went on an 8-day cruise with just two pieces of carry-on bags, all because of the compression bags I used. Once the packing cubes are fully packed, just use some grit to squeeze all the ends together to close the outside zipper.

I threw them in my bags and had plenty of room for my toiletries and shoes.

@I am still oxox. I'd guess they about double the amount of clothing you can fit into a bag. They make a considerable differebce.

Yes, compression packing tubes are definitely an improvement. I started with "regular" packing cubes but got compression ones and love them. Can fit so much in them and the clothes do not wrinkle. Love 'em!

Caution: if they get more items in the suitcase, they are also increasing the weight which may increase the check-through baggage price.

We were over by 2 pounds and would have incurred almost $50 excess weight charge...swapped out a few items from DH's bag and into my carry-on. Thank goodness this happened very early in the AM before the airport got jammed !

I have used the vacuum seal bags for packing, they work great-- however--I only use them for things I don't mind getting wrinkled--undies, socks, camis, jeans-- and I do have packing cubes too that are not compression and they work very well too.

@Caaareful Shopper What brand compression packing cubes did you use? Where did you purchase them? None of the ones I have compress the contents very well.

Bagail Set of 6 Mesh Compression Packing Cubes. The description says "half mesh" but it's more than half. They are 5 cubes of varying sizes, and the 6th is a non-mesh shoe bag. It was under $20 for the set when I bought it, slightly higher today.

I love the mesh because it allows the clothes to breathe while still being excellent compression. Available in many different color choices.

I buy the very largest zip lock baggies. Fill them up with underwear, socks, nighties. Close it part way…sit on it to compress..and finish closing. Works great!
