I had a color analysis done way back in the 80’s, and it seems like it has become very popular again. My Facebook feed is full of samples of girls having their color analysis done. I would like to see if there is a way the QVC lines could try to offer clothing in all the seasons. Sometimes I love an item but it just doesn’t come in a color that suits my coloring. It would make shopping even more fun.

I have to agree. Too often it's the same old colors over & over again being offered here!

It's usually black, navy, white and then pale pastels or a deep almost neon looking shade. These colors are often offered in spring & summer.

I tend to favor more jewel tones which look best on my medium cool tone olive complexion. Other than black or navy (I can wear white, but white tees get dirty quickly and tend to be see through) there isn't much of a color chocie for me.

I wish they could offer more jewel tones for summer tees, etc.

If you go to dream-wardrobe dot com, you can probably figure out your color season on your own.

Years ago, I had my color done more than once, one person said Spring, another said Autumn. Neither was quite right, I'm really a Soft Autumn (more muted than a true Autumn).

Anyway, the website goes into eye color, skin tone, hair color and contrast to help you figure out your season. Then gives examples of a clothing capsule wardrobe, color palettes for clothing and makeup.

I've never bought into this but I know a lot of people think it makes a difference. I tend to wear the colors I really like. I've never looked at someone and thought....Oh, that's not your color. The only exception would be if someone is extremely pale and are wearing a really light beige outfit that washes them out.

I've had those reels pop up on Facebook and IG and I'll look at them and don't see a color that looks better or worse on the person.

I had mine done about 30 years ago. I really didn't know anything about it and had no opinions. My mother-in-law was offering it to me and we went together.

There is no question that some of us look better in certain colors while others do not. I have to say, in my 20's it didn't make a whole lot of difference but I did see some colors just weren't for me.

I am a Winter and clearly, without a doubt, the colors I was told to wear do look better on me. It makes shopping much easier as well. When several colors are offered I know what colors I should steer towards to look my best. With that said, I have found a few items I just loved and bought even though they weren't the best for my skin tone.

I really think there is something to color analysis. My mother could wear fire engine red lipstick and look great. As a teenager, I would try on her lipstick and it looked hideous on me, the color was all wrong for my skin tone.

One of the major department stores had a beauty course for teens during the summer that taught about hair and makeup (priming the pump for future makeup purchases at the makeup counters, lol) and doing color analysis was part of it. It was really helpful. Of course, this was in the Stone Age before the internet, cell phones and YouTube tutorials.

For clothing, as a Soft Autumn, I purchase muted autumn colors and stay far away from black, white, bright jewel colors and summer pastel colors. I will wear a peachy-pink but not a bright bubblegum pink. Same goes for things like handbags. No way would I ever wear that pink plaid IHKWIP TSV handbag but their military olive patent bag, yes, please.

Color analysis can help you create a color coordinated wardrobe and not a mish-mash. It saves you money in the end.

You can also get a sense of what colors flatter you by people's remarks. Soft coral is one of my favorite colors. The other day I wore that color in a top and matching cardigan. Five ladies at church told me how great I looked in it.

I am light complected, slightly on the warmer side
