Prices have been high before the tariffs. Give the chance for the tariffs to work. Tariffs in place now didn't cause this.

Sometime last spring I decided that I was going to opt out. Bought three pairs of walking shoes, at a good price and stopped cold turkey. For most of us clothing is a nonessential purchase. Try it!

I am watching the Kim Gravel show; all sale, and they are taking off $5. off a winter top and calling it sale priced. Who do they think they are fooling? If they want to move winter clothing take 40-50% off like other stores and your sales will sell.

QVC clothing prices are abt equal to Talbots , however Talbots has been having some terrific sales since before Christmas , so it seems weird that QVC keeps the prices high on old merchandise.

Prices on clothes were high Before tariffs ...

I just received a huge order from Talbots, when they have a sale it really is a sale, not $5 off.

Talbots are practically giving away their store! I just bought a beautiful sweater that was originally $99.00, overpriced, but 50% off, then an additional 40% off, it was down to $30 something dollars in the end. Same with a beautiful animal print blouse, down to $37.57 from $99. I never pay full price there, but they have a new sale every other day. Qvc taking $5.00 off a KG top and calling it sale priced is a joke. Also, I am short with short arms and Talbots offers everything in Petite which fits me better than Kim's regulars. She only offers tops in Petite if they are tunic length.

Prices are up everywhere and on everything and sadly quality has gone WAY DOWN. We just bought a new clothes dryer.; Pure junk. And it was a mid level item. My kids will never know how good we had it "back in the day". Oh for the joys of growing up in the 50's and 60' and 70's....no worries like we have in this world. Truly sad.

@We rescue cats I noticed that too, on another show; I think it was Joan Rivers if I remember right. One item was $7 off, another was about $5 as well and another was less than $10. These are not sales to a potential customer. I am sure "technically" in business it is because they cut their (original) set cost to sell the item at. Since QVC does not have a store footprint per se, they do not need to clear their inventory to stock the floor for the next upcoming season. There is no need to clear house. There are items they were pushing this winter from 2024. How do I know, the xmas sets were different that season.

Also, most of Q clothes are not Talbots quality either. They are t-shirts, sweatshirts disguised as t-shirts, sweatshirts disguised as a "tunic", sweatpants, lounge pants/sweatpants. You get the idea. Oh, and an overstock of liquid knit.

Prices are up on everything - clothing, food, housing, etc.

One should shop where one is comfortable.

@We rescue cats Talbots had closed a huge store in my local even before the pandemic.. Now they reopened one room and packed into it all the types of merchandise they had before. Not one item I saw on my two visits to that store was worth their asking price. I won't bother going back for any sale because I wasn't really disappointed I decided to pass up what I'd seen.

I would not want to be running a general retail company. I have enough concern managing my own small financial world and my funds don't extend to providing jobs for many people or products or entertainment to others. I am just hoping most of those whose life's work is just that are successful.

I was stunned yesterday to see Target on a list of companies already in serious trouble. Not all that long ago, Target was the third largest retail company in our country.

QVC prices can be high relative to the quality.

Talbot's is having a great sale with deep discounts with a large volume of choices.

Quality great too.

BTW, I think I noticed prices at Q more since I stopped doing easy pay. I rarely use it anymore therefore I don't buy as much as I used to. Also, no petites on tops is a "no" for me. I used to go ahead and get med tops but I'm tired of them being too long.

On a Denim & Co. show they had a $3 off a second one. I had to laugh. Yep. Another $3.50 shipping for that second one. They sound foolish.

When I see something I like from Kim or Susan I check eBay first - I have found new items there for a fraction of Q prices.

I purchase most clothing from Talbots since the Q has lost most of their designers. Talbots website is great for showing options for putting a look together.
