I enjoy QVC. Have been a shopper for 20 years. I can no longer afford the prices. I live in an area of the country where salaries are low. I can’t afford a pull over top for $70. I have to look at ‘as is’ and I have noticed those prices are higher now as well. Shipping cost per item is also ridiculous …and it takes 2-3 weeks. When I order items on line from other companies I pay one shipping price for the total order…not for each item. Please do better QVC. I also see that item prices increase when you offer ‘free shipping’…so there rarely is such a thing as free shipping.

Well, I live in an area where salaries are NOT low (I don't work, so not talking about myself), but I wouldn't pay $70 for a pullover top when I can go to Kohl's and get one for less than half that price. And you're right @Hoggie about the individual shipping costs. It's all too much!

I've seen and paid shipping charges at other online sellers and think $3.50 to ship a garment is extremely reasonable, the least I've seen other than free. I don't give it a second thought.

It never takes WEEKS to receive an order unless there are special circumstances. A week is the average for me.

I'm willing to pay whatever QVC charges, for the convenience. I hate shopping in stores. Haven't done it for years, even groceries.

I'm retired and I don't really need to be buying much clothing these days. I like to have fairly good quality basic pieces and keep those updated. But honestly I can find basic/classic clothes for less in other places besides the Q. I refuse to spend $50+ on basic tees or $80+ for basic jeans or pants. That's not in my budget today especially with everything else included to live my life comfortably.

I rarely purchase fashion items on the Q because I can find better quailty elsewhere. I wear LLBean Tee's and LLbean perfect pants often. Even though expensive, they are of good quality and last. I also purchase clothes from Sam's Club, Costco, and Macy's. Those are my go-to places now. The prices are better.

@Citrine1 In my wildest dreams I wouldn't spend $70 on a casual top that I would wear to run around town in or wear in the house.

I stick to Costco. Their clothing selections suit my taste and quality and fit criteria just fine.

A typical top usually costs about $15. at Costco. I usually go there once a season and for $100 I get a complete wardrobe of casual clothes.

I have expensive clothes for "occasion dressing" that I don't mind spending a lot of $$ on; however, for casual clothes, NO...

Interesting; I do the opposite! I don't spend a lot on '"occasion dressing" because I don't wear them enough to make it worthwhile. I tend to spend more,on things I get a lot of wear from and they need to stand up to a lot of washing and drying. We all spend differently.

I like shopping at Kohl's or Macy's. Kohl's has some good sales and recently, the shipping was free. I bought Vera Wang Petite Tops, Lands End Tees Petite and some sweaters. Also, if I need to return the store is about 10 minutes from my house. Macy's has free return shipping.

I can't afford to be spending $70 for tops that are seasonal. I think quality is in the eyes of the buyer. Everyone has different needs and budgets.

@Hoggie - The Q has so many free shipping days or free shipping flash deals. I try to do my ordering on those days.

I've never had an item take 2 or 3 weeks to arrive unless it's on a wait list.

I also try to wait until the product is on sale unless it's something I can't live without.

I suppose the Q needs to have the prices as such to stay in business, with the TV time overhead and all their other overhead costs- Im not justifying the prices, becaue I agree the prices are high now-

Yes, there are many other sources for clothing, but Q does offer conveniences, presentations and reviews, which to me are valuable!
I find brick and mortar stores often overwhelming -
So, it's a choice and we get to decide!
I recently received the Lands End catalogue and their sale prices looked great!

Shopping online is convenient and that is worth a lot, but fortunately, QVC is far from the only game in town... I shop almost exclusively online, but only rarely at QVC...

When the shopping channels came to fruition the only shopping options were brick and mortar stores and catalogs. Qvc offered some unique items. I have a tea cart from QVC from the 1980's that is inlaid wood from Italy. My parents gave it to me for Christmas.

The hosts are experts at selling items. Over the years, my purchases from QVC and HSN have reduced. I no longer watch. If I am interested in an item, I find it on the website and watch the video. I do like to see the features of the item.

I find many nice things elsewhere at better prices. QVC used to have some nice designers, and beauty items. Not so much anymore. Maybe as I have aged, I am not interested in some of their offerings.

When I needed business attire, vendors like Louis, Susan Graver, and Issac fit the bill for me.

I do shop at Costco, Sams but I also like quality tee's etc, so I do purchase those on LLBean, the shirts last a long time and the cotton is soft.

With the Internet, shopping has changed so much. It is a shame that I can get my dog food delivered for less money than I can at the local pet store.

I mostly wear clothing made from natural fabrics, sherpa outer wear an exception. I bought from Q when they offered silk, cotton, linen clothing, cashmere and wool sweaters, but now everything is polyester so I shop elsewhere.

Prices are out of control. It irks me when I see one item priced at around $50 and a similar item priced at $70. Even if I can afford the higher-priced item, I'm not buying it. Last night KG had a sherpa shacket for $55. Just for the heck of it, I went to Amazon and found comparable clothing for far less. From what I remember, QVC prices in the past rarely went past the $50 mark. Most were around $40 or a bit less. I understand everything has gone up, but a $30 or $40 jump in price seems excessive. QVC is pricing themselves right out of business.

I have been a QVC shopper for longer than 20 years. But, I have been a SHOPPER since I was a little girl.

I, like many others, have more clothes than I need or can wear!

But, I like fashion, as well as shopping.

There is a difference between "having to have something right this moment at full price," or waiting until the sale price is reasonable.

Last week I bought two Isaac M. velvet cut out dresses here for $19.00 each, and a Kim Gravel velour top for $17.00 (from my wishlist). Last night I bought the QF pansies shirt for only $18.00 from my wishlist. The prices are too cheap to pass up!!

QVC has wonderful bargains, but you have to explore the website, be patient, put items in the wishlist, check the LT and PT specials, and so forth. The casual clothes quality is very good at QVC, so that is why I continue to shop here. Also, the sizes are pretty consistent, so need need to worry about fit.

My QVC items always arrive within a week or so--and $3.50 shipping is peanuts compared to gas prices.

Yes, I shop everywhere--I am going to Bloomies KOP mall right now to try to use up my shopping gift cards before they expire. I also have many gorgeous gowns from NM (bought on sale, of course, but much more expensive than anything QVC offers.).

If only gold jewelry prices were still as cheap as clothes!! (I started shopping at QVC just for jewelry--took me a decade or so before I started buying clothes here.).

Do you have a Costco or Sam's Club nearby? Even if no local stores they have online sales too.

Their fashion prices are great, lots of name brands, Gap, Eddie Bauer etc.

You can get all kinds of clothing for much less on Amazon, but no telling what you'll receive. Amazon is a ******-shoot. Yes, they have some quality clothing there, but there's also a bunch of cheap-cheap clothing too.

Yes, Amazon is a variable market. Lots of their 3rd party shippers do not use great fabric.....Some are really good!

I buy a lot of Brand names at cheaper prices at A. They sell for Land's End, Chico's, nearly any top Brand even Saks!

Love the discount on their shoes!
