Is the Q phasing out Issac Mizrahi

I'm haven't seen any new clothing items by Issac, or Issac himself for that matter in quite a while. It seems most of his items are all on special prices. I think I know what that means. Ugh...it's my favorite QVC clothing line.

He seems to prefer singing older tunes and touring more than designing. But he has a team of designers anyway. His preference comes and goes. He still has his other design site online.

It's obvious they are phasing him out. He was not around for fall fashion and just about all of his clothing is on clearance or a deep sale. My guess is that Kim Gravel's popularity has taken over QVC and maybe Isaac is ready to focus on something else.

I see Isaac has new Fall collection items on his private website, and I was not aware his clothes are also sold at Nordstrom's and Macy's now.

I used to buy some of his line at Lord & Taylor when that department store was still around.

Well, it would certainly be a major loss for QVC, but as a NYC designer, I know Isaac's clothes probably do not appeal to everybody, because he has very high standards, an impeccable sense of style, and a whimsy to use the past as an inspiration. Yes, some of his color and patterns are a bit bold, and a person has to feel confident to wear them.

I remember once he told a QVC host, "If you are going to show up, then SHOW UP."

He has always been one of my favorite QVC designers, and I am so pleased to have a great collection of his designs. I especially liked all his lace looks, and his flowery cardigans.

Right now I am snapping up his pima cotton tops at these bargain prices, because there is not a softer, better natural material on the market except for silk.

Isaac is just fabulous, darling!!

Too bad. I found several pieces I love, especially sweaters and hoodies. Not a fan of Gravel styles, LOGO mostly too weird, Graver LK fabric not something I would wear. Newer lines probably will not try since returns get expensive and you don't know about the fit.

It seems that all the high end vendors are fading away in favor of some of the 'stock designers'. To me it is very sad, seems that is the way QVC is going, they used to be in front with great designers and top end products, I miss that.

@busymom22 Yup, I was thinking the same thing. We're inundated with Kim Gravel's line (which I find overpriced and cheap quality). I thought Issac's line is one of the last quality clothing lines the Q has.

I have a closet full of Isaac's Pima cotton tees and his 24/7 stretch pants. I will miss him but I know he is a busy man with many interests and can understand if he decided to move on to other things he enjoys. Liffey is short; do what you love.

It's my thought too that Isaac isn't very interested any more.

Even though he doesn't own the brands and name, QVC and the owners may have decided that without his direct involvement and appearances, it's no longer worth it.

@stevieb. I think that is the logical reason. I'm surprised he lasted as long as he did. He's just alive with creativity and was probably most unhappy peddling the same basic tee shirts week after week. It was time to move on.

@They CallMe MRWILKES I don't watch that often, but the last couple of times I've seen him he's said things I thought were kinda odd and that was the impression I got too.

I wouldn't say his clothes are high fashion. The Q probably pushes him to do more basic stuff like those expensive pima cotton T's. How excited can he get about that?

I agree it seems all they have on is Kim Gravel clothes and makeup. I hardly buy anything from the Q anymore. Kim's clothes are ridiculousy overpriced never will I buy from her line. I only buy Denim & Co I hope they don't leave they will lose more customers big time. Skechers if they are on sale. Overall the Q's prices went way up. Shopping more at the stores near me better deals.
