HSN Sizing question

Long, long time QVC purchaser, but I've never purchased clothing from HSN. Does anyone know if they run larger vanity sizing like Q?

I'm tempted by the DG2 todays special, but the garment measurements look like they are brick store rather than vanity, if accurate. Any thoughts on the quality would be appreciated too.

hsn does garment measurements on their items as well. easy to locate

DG2 is my favorite line at HSN. I can size down or keep my usual size. I like that TSV, too, and I really like it when they show it as a dress. I would probably wear my usual DG2 size, which is XS. Depending on the line, QVC uses vanity sizes, so I am not as small as QVC would have me believe. The DG2 line has some nice stretch, and I am still pondering the dress. I like it in the black.

I wear the same size in DG2 pants that I wear in D&C or any QVC line. The Gilman pants are very stretchy so the size chart is misleading.

@Cathyshopper HSN is much more aligned with brick and mortar stores. There is very limited "vanity sizing" so double check the garment size chart. And I never go by the sizing they recommend on screen in the upper left hand corner. I would size up in Giuliana clothing when I would buy it, even based on the size chart. She seems to cut things to a more slender frame, imo. DG2, be careful and read the material content because some of her jeans are so stretchy the bag out all over and slide down. Nina Leonard and TWRHLL seem to be, on the whole, very aligned with B&M,in my experience. Those brands I noted, and Antthony, are pretty good quality. Antthony's materials in many cases are similar to SG liquid knit (you will know it when you see it onscreen.)

Agree that HSN more closely aligns with b&m stores. At QVC I will buy a large or even sometimes a medium in clothing but at HSN a large or even extra large, just as I do in stores. I always check the "garment measurements" on both websites although I much prefer the HSN chart--so much simpler and gives the necessary info.

I like this TS too, in the mid tone denim. I'm unsure of size. I'm between a PXL and a Plus Petite 1X which is larger than my normal L-XL size. I'm smaller on top, larger on bottom so the hips are what I need to fit. I'm concerned that the P1X will be too big especially up top.

In my experience, DG2 jeans sizing can be all over the place. The same item can be sized differently in different colors.

i have liked the virtual stretch fabric, but it has varied in weight and the lighter weight versions have been more stretchy, sometimes too much for me.

My favorite DG2 jeans fabric was the Flexstretch but it's no longer available.

I did end up ordering the black TSV in Petite XS because I really like it as a dress. We'll see. It is a bit pricey, so if it isn't amazing, I will return it. But, I do love the idea of wearing the black with black boots. Fingers crossed.

@Lisa now in AZ I have only bought MW tops, but no bottoms. I have a small chest but a bigger belly/waist/hips. I run a 14/16 generally. With some of those button down boxy shirts I have gone down to a medium and had plenty of room, but check her garment specific sizing.

@10sluvr I've only ordered a couple of MW tops and I find I can size down from my usual size for them. I always check the garment measurements and her items seem generous.

I wear a size larger in HSN. I'm a QVC Large and a HSN Extra Large. You should use the size charts.

Hi, @10sluvr ! I'm a big Marla Wynne fan and, as others have noted, HSN sizing is more in line with brick and mortar stores. I find based on the garment measurements and fit info supplied in the garment description that I'm a S or M in most tops and a M in her pants. That said, in her line, I have every size from XXS to M in my closet - what the fit info is important. In Q garments, I'm mostly a S but again choose my size based on garment measurements.

ETA: in MW drop shoulder tops, I'm mostly an XS.
