Good Morning! I thought that I would start a new thread for the new month.

It is cool here this morning (40's), but sunny and much less windy with a high in the 70's predicted for today. Starting tomorrow, highs are predicted to be in the 60's and lows in the 30's. Still warmer than many places. I certainly cannot complain.

DH's friend called yesterday and we talked for nearly two hours. Mostly, he talked and I listened. He and his friend were supposed to go on a cruise in a couple of weeks, but now he is having back surgery instead. Not fun.

I'm not a skort wearer, but the TSV looks cute. Hope anyone who orders likes it very much.

Good Sunday morning,

We had a couple of days in the high 50s. Everyone was out and about talking about how warm it was and how Spring is coming. Made me laugh. Today it's 17 degrees, the wind is howling. But it is sunny. I'll take 17 and sunny over the 58 and cloudy we had yesterday. I'm here alone. Hubby took a week off, he's in Maine visiting his parents. Yesterday I spent time inspecting, cleaning, organizing my jewelry. Today I'll take out my spring clothes and footwear to see what new things I need. What I'll let myself splurge on. I don't like the Tsv at all. Definitely not my style.

Hi, chrystaltree. I know I have seen you posting on other threads, but do not remember you posting on this one. Good for you going through jewelry, clothes, footwear, etc. Important to know what you need before you buy more.

I prefer sun to clouds, but windy and 17 degrees would be very hard for me to handle. Good reason why I moved to Arizona since I can tolerate heat better than cold, particularly the "dry" heat we have here most of the time. As long as the AC is working, of course. I am retired, so can take my walks very early before it is unbearable.

I do not wear shorts in public because my thighs and knees are pretty ugly. However, I spend most of my time at home in the summer wearing shorts with tank tops. Wearing a skirt over shorts would be too hot for me. But, I know some people love skorts and short skirts. And, they look nice in them.

Hi Everyone!

We had snow on Friday and Saturday. Just when I thought Spring was arriving. Today it's sunny and cold. It's the best of both forecasts our the dogs & me. Hope everyone's weather is fine.

I spent most of the weekend sorting thru the file cabinets to see what I could toss and what I had to keep. I'm making progress but the it's more time consuming that I thought it was going to be.

There's one crocus tryint to grow in the front porch garden. I'm surprised since we had so much wildlife this season. I've got my fingers crossed for the tulips I planted last fall.

Hope everyone is feeling well or has some relief this week.

Good Afternoon! How nice to have a crocus blooming, Fressa. It always seems to take me longer than expected to go through cabinets, etc. One day at a time for sure. Glad the weather suits you and your dogs.

The thrift shop was supposed to pick up the table and chairs I was donating this morning between 7:00 - 11:00 a.m. I was getting worried that they were not coming, when they arrived at 10:30.

Then, I went to visit my hospice patient and had a terrible time finding a parking space. When I finally found one, I went to her room and she was not there. Turned out that her daughter had arranged for a birthday party in one of the small dining rooms. Fortunately, I made it there while the party was still going. I know she was sleepy, but she was very happy.

When the party ended, her daughter said that she and the others were leaving, but I could visit with her Mom before they put her to bed for a nap. While I was there, several staff members came in to sing happy birthday and bring her some balloons and a birthday sign. I gave her a card from me and the office, plus a low-maintenance plant in a pretty turquoise container (she loves turquoise).

After the visit, I went to the ATM and Post Office before coming home for lunch. I will be going to the office later today.

it is very nice. Tem is almost 50, but that will change tomorrow.

i have a very heavy, fluffy quilt for my bed. It has been wonderful for the cold winter nights but now is too warm. I was trying to figure out where to store and then remembered the nice storage bins that I have in my garage space.,

I continue to shop for Spring clothes. I am waiting for the logo show.

Ms renter appears to be working out ok. Sydnie is home for Sring break

Fressa..we may get a bit of snow later this week. I still haven't taken a pic of the grass here.

linda..nice that your hospice patient had a bday party. . Vs hospice home always did bday celebrations with cake and all of the trimmings.

i am going to take a walk to the mailbox soon.

Good Afternoon/Evening! Did you find any new clothes, Barbara? Glad M's renter is working out, and Syd is on spring break. Hope you are not in too much pain.

I went to the gym this morning, and then to my ultrasound test this afternoon. Not a fun test at all, but I am glad it is over. According to the tech, the results may be sent to my NP in a couple of days.

Today is sunny and cool -- high in the low 60's. It is supposed to be much warmer tomorrow, cooler and windy on Thursday, and still cooler (high in the 50's) with rain on Friday. We really need the rain, but unlike several of you, I am not a fan of the cooler weather.

Tomorrow the neighborhood ladies are meeting for lunch -- that should be fun.

LindaLatte----Enjoy yourself at the ladies luncheon. I'm don't wear skorts but they look comfy for those really hot dsys. I prefer joggers or slacks now that I'm retired. It was like a "treat" not to be in a suit and heels.

We received weather alerts yesterday for storms today and tomorrow. It sounds similar to what you're experiencing. It was nice enough yesterday afternoon to bring Frosty inside and the oversized light stakes. He's all set to go back into the shed before the storms arrive. We had quite a few solar lights that were knocked over so we were able to adjust them upright.

I liked a few fashion items but I don't need more clothes and especially at those prices. I did receive the Dennis Basso pink coat.It's a good fit and color. I'm glad I treated myself.

good afternoon here in sunny cool North Dakota. The Twin Cities got hit with about 6 to 12 inches of snow. Mollie said her snow plow person came and plowed out the driveway, which is good because she can't do that. She said there was a lot of snow.

I was going to go out to the post office today to drop some packages off my lovely neighbors across the way picked up the packages that I had ready to return and brought them back up to me so I'm gonna take them down to the mailbox area and put a big pink sign on them that says USPS pick up. I just have to laugh.

yes Linda I did find some clothes. Many of them are going back because they don't fit right. I'm having a terrible time fitting my pants they I ordered up from a medium to a large and those were completely too big. My mediums are not staying up and I'm wondering because there for five years old if the elastic perhaps has given out so I found a few outfits that I like. I'm really working on downsizing. Don't ask while I'm why I'm buying. Lol

fressa, I was wondering if your area was going to get hit by those bad storms going across the country.

I have a video visit with my rheumatologist on Monday so we'll see what he has to say Tuesday I get my injection in my spine so I'm hoping that within a week or so. I'm feeling back to normal.

I need to take the packages in my garbage down. I really miss not having a garbage disposal. Have a good day

Hello all, I've been shopping JCP (online) picking up a few new pieces as soon as they hit inventory. JCP doesn't carry as many tall options as years past so I buy what I like when they become available. So far, casual tops for summer. I'm currently waiting for a pair of slacks, new tops and a pair of summer shoes.

I'm also getting rid of some things in the garage. I put the aluminum stepladder to the curb last week and a guy picked it up before the garbage guys came. Yesterday I took a 28 foot aluminum extension ladder out to the curb and rolled the Arien's 2 stage snowblower to the curb.

Could I have tried to see the extension ladder and old Ariens snowblower? Yeah. Was I willing to go through all of that? Nope, lol.

I have a thing about heights which is why I've never gone higher than the first floor of my house and have never once used the extension ladders. The Airen's snowblower was too much for me when I was 40 and it's way too much for me at 62. I don't care if it's self propelled with 3 speeds forward and 2 speeds background - it's too much for me and I haven't used it in years. It does still work though.

Two different guys relieved me of the ladders and snowblower and I felt good about them finding a new home with folks I assume will use them.

Been browsing power tools at home depot dot com. I have a couple of small DIY projects that I want to start in the house and I have my eye on a Makita orbital sander and 7/14 circular saw.

Good Evening! Hope the storms won't be too bad, Fressa. My DD said they had quite a bad thunderstorm last night. As predicted, we our weather was warm today -- high in the upper 70's. It was a bit cloudy, but still nice. So glad you like your DB coat.

I just saw that Martha Stewart is coming back to the Q. I never purchased her clothes, but I was tempted and did find some nice placemats and other household stuff.

Funny story about your neighbors and the mail, Barbara. I thought garbage disposals were part of the code for new homes -- maybe that does not apply to your area. Hope your call with the rheumatologist goes well as does your injection on Tuesday. I am wondering that about the elastic in pants as well. Seems like several pairs of pants that used to fit well are falling down from my waist. I really don't think my waist is any smaller.

Glad you are finding some clothes that work for you, Bernie. I am sure it feels great to get rid of ladders, etc., that you never use. Good luck with your tool shopping.

I am happy to report that I already received the results of my ultrasound test from yesterday. My interpretation was that I don't have any big problem (three small cysts in my ovaries, but nothing about an issue). Fortunately, my opinion was confirmed by DH's DD who said no problem due to size and other information. Whew!

The neighborhood ladies lunch was nice, and I enjoyed talking to my neighbor who drove me to my cataract surgery.

Good Afternoon/Evening! Hope you recover from the side effects of your infusion quickly, Barbara. Also hope the non-elastic pants work for you, and you are able to find something at Penney's.

I am having trouble with my feet today. Actually, it started yesterday, but is worse today. Seems like it is always something. Not really sure if it is plantar fasclitis or something else, but it sure is making walking difficult. I used the treadmill at the gym this morning, which was undoubtedly a dumb idea. And, when I went to the hospice office this afternoon, it was difficult to walk from my car to the building and back. So, now I am resting my feet and plan to take some ibuprofen in a little while.

There was a weekly meeting at the office, and they like someone to be there to answer the phones. I sat there for more than two hours with no phone calls, no one delivering supplies or coming to visit in person. And, there was very little work to do. Fortunately, I had my Kindle with me.

It is windy and cool here, and they are still predicting cooler, windy, and rainy weather tomorrow. There may even be some snow in the mountains.

Barbara @sydsgma1 I've been shopping JCP since I discovered that they sold tall ladies clothing when I was 18 years old. They sold in catalogue (loved that time) and then online. They don't carry talls for ladies in store so me and JCP have had an 'online' relationship for over 40 years.

Good Afternoon! It is warmer here today (highs in the low 60's rather than the low 50's we had yesterday). And, today is sunny and not nearly as windy. At least we got some rain yesterday (not a lot, but....) It should be warmer still tomorrow, but cooler later in the week.

As usual, I like the things you ordered from JCP, Bernie. I am really trying to avoid ordering any more clothing or shoes, and have been moderately successful. But, I did order the Little Giant stepladder that I have been considering for ages. It looks much sturdier than the stepstool that I have. I'm only getting shorter and shorter, so this is needed.

My hospice patient was in much better shape yesterday than the previous Friday. According to the hospice nurse, the facility thinks that she likes having the socialization she has in the memory unit rather than when she mostly stayed in her assisted living room. A couple brought a very large dog (perhaps a bullmastiff) that weighed 200 pounds to the unit, and she was interested. She did not pet him, but she enjoyed seeing him as did I.

After the visit, I went to the hospice office where they were having staff appreciation day -- including pizza, vegetables, cookies, etc. They invited me to have some pizza, etc., and I was happy to have some.

Then, I went to my follow-up eye doctor appointment, and he said that my eye looked good. I go back on the 24th for what I assume will be my last post-cataract operation visit (unless something is wrong). I am happy that I only need to use one eye drop three times a day now. And, that will be reduced to two times a day next Thursday.

I went back into the office after the eye doctor visit, and it was extremely quiet.
