As lovely as the model in # 6 is, I just don't like strapless wedding dresses.

They look like cocktail party dresses for what should be a serious occasion ... or at least semi-serious.

I had some pajamas that I was given at my lingerie shower (prior to my wedding) that looks a lot like those. That was my first thought when I saw them: "these look like my pajamas." They were my favorite thing that I got at that shower. Lots of gowns with all that gossamer looking stuff. Very expensive and I rarely wore any of them. I hate to admit that now.

I see some of these as that 2nd & 3rd dress for the wedding reception. Many brides are changing into a wedding party dress so they can move more freely and dance.

@Caaareful Shopper , I was wondering the same. I went to a wedding a couple of years ago. The bride changed from a gown to party dress to going away outfit. I think it's become a thing.

They're not meant to be ceremony dresses, they're probably being sold as very casual reception dresses and third outfits.

For a very young bride some could be worn for a beach or backyard wedding.

I really don't get the trend of changing out of your wedding gown into a reception dress. I loved my gown and wanted to keep it on as long as possible! It's not like you'll ever wear it again. For what they cost, I say you should get the most out of it.

I would guess the biggest reason is not wanting to get any stains or other damage on the wedding dress during the reception.
