QVC has many sale items not shown on air. Check the website. And please stop.🛑 It is not stupid to pay $70 for a blouse.

There is a retailer for just about everyone. Macys have lots of reasonable, well made clothing. Saks and Bloomingdales sell infant clothing that goes for more than $70.00 a shirt. No retailer can be all things to all people.

I just paid in the $70+ range for several cotton blouses on sale from Brooks Brothers. Even more for a couple of silk shirts. Same for a couple of silk/cashmere blend sweaters.

My money, my decision.

If you look at retail places like loft and other higher end retailers qvc prices are not that far fetched

Well, it depends on many things .... your income, the occasion, and (probably) how often you'll wear it.

Right now, in my closet, I have a couple pima cotton tee shirts I bought at Walmart (yes, pima cotton at Walmart) for $5 each. I wear them a lot, at home. I wouldn't wear them out.

Right now, I also have a couple silk satin blouses I purchased at Neiman Marcus to color match to two wool-gabardine suits. I don't wear them as frequently, but they were worth every penny of the $225 each I paid for them.

BTW, I try to be specific when discussing fashion.

Whether it's a blouse, caftan, tee shirt, polo shirt, tailored shirt ... etc etc ... be specific. What the heck is a "top"?

Quality makes a difference too. I tend to wear dress clothing a Veeery long time. I wore a stretch velvet dress on Sunday that I couldn't even tell you how long ago I bought it. But, if you wear something a lot over time, it's more about the price per wear. You could end up paying more per wear for cheaper clothing. I love a good bargain just like anybody else. I get clothing from Costco and other discount places, but I'm also willing to pay more for a nice quality piece I know I'll wear and love.

I hate to tell you what I just paid for a gorgeous ETRO top from NM, but I have to advise you that NOBODY who knows me thinks I am "stupid."

Of course, it is my money that I worked hard for, so if I want to splurge on special clothes, I can certainly do so.

However, I do not own a lakehouse, because we prefer the beach and waves of the ocean, and husband is a scuba diver and really likes shipwrecks. If we had a second home at a lake we would not be there often enough to use it, and we would never bother to rent it out.

I love to shop for casual clothes on QVC, and I have purchased a few "as-is" items for under $10.00! I can always find bargains on this shopping channel.

To each her own!

One thing clothing wise I won’t spend on is basic tshirts and tank tops that go under things. I like the telk gear tank tops from Kohl’s. They are really soft and nice to put under sweaters or other things
