Good morning....next Saturday is our celebration with family so today I am baking and will freeze cookies until next weekend. I need to pick up a card and make sure I have all I need for Saturday as far as food goes. We do finger foods....no sit down dinner.

I have a fairly busy work week coming up so I need to get organized.

Good morning! My preparations are going well, finished up wrapping yesterday, my least favorite activity. I used to decorate my wrappings a lot but rarely celebrate the day at my home so always had to transport the gifts and ended up losing half the decorating en route. Now, it's good if I can find a decorative box or bag to handle the "wrapping".

I like the Dennis Basso coat (A67292) but don't need a warm coat. This dumb cookie exchange has me hungry this morning Really, I enjoy seeing all the beautiful cookies but they sure play havoc with my appetite. I don't like sweets before lunch but I'd have no trouble digging into some of those boxes!

@LTT1 and Hello to all. Christmas and Hanukkah coincide this year, so one big dinner for friends and family. A lot of my entertaining stuff has been packed up, so each is bringing a side dish and I ordered a huge ccoked turkey from Wegman's and will stand in line for my "Honey Ham...spriral cut". Yes, ham at Hanukkah dinner. Lol. All my family loves it. We have 18 people so far and think I'll draw the line there as have to rent long tables and folding chairs. House is upside down w/ packing and lots of sofas (made it through 3 dogs in 26 yrs. and time to go) and seating gone.

Shopping for gifts is easy. GDs get cash or Amazon card and adults don't exchange gifts. I do put a lip gloss or something similar tucked into the napkin ring for the women. Just purchased 2 TSVs to do that.

Gift wrap closet had too many papers/bows for babies, weddinngs, birthdays, etc. I trashed it all a few yrs. ago and bought a huge roll of brown paper from Staples and raffia to tie on gift tags and DONE! So easy now. ***I use Sharpies in appropriate colors on white gift tags.

Good Saturday morning all!

Whadda week! Full house, my daughter got engaged yesterday, her fiancée cooked dinner last night so I just had to tell him where everything he needed was and they cleaned up. Dinner was delicious too he did Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes and asparagus...not too fancy but finger linking good. My hubby's birthday was yesterday so we celebrated that and he was happy, nothing like good food and good company...smiles and hugs all around.

No real Christmas shopping here I brought a card for hubby's home attendant to give him a cash gift for being so helpful during hubby's recovery from surgery. Santa is coming to church tomorrow after service so the kids at church are going to have a ton of fun taking pictures and all that. I have too much going on here to go to church tomorrow so I will miss the excitement.

This afternoon I go to get my hair color and cut! Enjoy the day everyone. I have to stop looking at that coat from Dennis Basso, I need one like hole in the head but it's tempting.

Good Morning to All! Just finished printing out shipping labels for packages going to family in SC. Daughter and family moved to the Charleston area in June, so this is our 1st Christmas we will not all be together. sniff, sniff Working through this by keeping busy and getting gifts shipped thru Amazon and me this year!

Trying to watch Leah....read what you're all posting....and taping boxes shut! Gotta dash as I am meeting my other daughter and 3 of my granddaughters this A.M. We have tickets for a 10:15 showing of "Wicked"! Hope I don't fall asleep....I know it's long1

Hope to "talk" with all of you next week. Be good....Santa is watching!!

Good morning everyone! It has been a very busy week and it's not over yet. Plans today all afternoon, it seems we had all of our Christmas parties and get togethers in the same week this year! Looking forward to tomorrow, pajama and football day for sure!

I'm not really watching am style this morning, working on laundry and straightening out the house before I leave at noon. Just can't stand coming home to a messy house.

Next week is much quieter for us and I'm happy about that, I'm sure something will come up but it's nice to have some free time just in case. Enjoying my tree and decorations,

@Carolina925 Gift wrap and bags and ribbon has gotten so expensive and torn off and tossed anyway. This idea has worked wonders and no one's complained. It's the gift that counts, not the wrapping, right?

I left earlier to take DGS to "his gym" where he had a "session" which he says "conditions him for football season!

It is a DGCs weekend because DD took DGD to a cheer competition. Got a message that "they hit" which means the team performed without any mistakes! 🏆 Welcome news!

I am going to try your method for gift wrapping! The brown craft paper, imo, is very fun and interesting!

My hallmark is not that far away but it is in an area that is so crowded. Besides, when I go into one I am so dang tempted by all that beautiful stuff! Stuff I don't need!

My shopping is nearly finished but if it arrives here (two Amazon fire 10" tablets already sent once never arrived and I was able to file a "dispute" with my cc company. Amazon KNOWS that if I claim I didn't receive an order and then it shows up...I always send it back. So anyway I re-ordered the tablets...set to arrive in a few days!
