I've never used that garment measurement chart. Maybe I would if I was a seamstress or a fashion designer and understood it. In nearly 40 years, I have only used the body measurement size chart. Regardless of what size happened to be. I take my measurements, use the chart and I rarely have any size issues. I know how I like my clothes to fit so I take that into consideration. As for sizing. Unlike Europe, the US does not and never had had standardized sizing. One manufacturer's size 8 can be another manufacturer's size 10. Petite, short, tall, average all mean different things depending on the manufacturer. So. No. We do not all know what size we wear. Yes, vanity sizing exists. One of the reasons why I prefer shopping online or with shopping channels is that I can sit in the comfort of my own home with my measurements in front of me and use the size charts to determine my size. B&M shopping means taking three sizes of everything into the dressing room and trying it all on. I have neither the time nor the strength to do that

In what world is an XXS a 45" chest and 48" bottom opening? And yet, Denim & Co has a Heritage Raglan Sleeve V-Neck Pointelle sweater with those measurements this morning. Most XXS small tops on QVC have a 38-40" chest. My chest is 33" and nothing on QVC with that size. QVC pants in XXS are always 25-26" waist relaxed. My waist is 24"--no pants with a 24" waist. QVC only buys from vendors who make their clothes large with a tiny size attached to them to make people feel better. We all know what size we are. QVC please stop doing this and only buy clothes with a realistic size!

I'm a slender petite. Q sizes are vanity sizes. Many tops are 40" which is ridiculous.

Their sizing does run larger, the average American woman is 5'4" and 170 lbs according

to CDC. If true, that's pretty bad!

Denim and Co clothing runs very large for the most part, Isaac runs more true to size,I am unsure about the other brands since if I purchase here it is either NYDJ jeans or Isaac.

Maybe this is the reason why hosts say they wear XXS and are probably a 6 or small in a B&M store.

If you ever go to Europe and shop for clothing you will be shocked at what size you need. Not pretty. American women eat more sugar and fat in their diets and getting much less exercise. When I was in Italy I asked where the Vatican was from where I was staying and I was told it was walking distance. He gave me the Kilometers and when I converted them into miles it was close to 4 miles! They walk everywhere, gas prices there have always been high and in Rome the streets are narrow and cannot hold many cars traveling on them. It is faster for them to walk, and trust me the streets are not horizontal either, but go up and down ! You can spot Americans because of our size and being out of shape.
