Best brand of sock liners/peds to wear with flat shoes?

Hi! I just wanted to know if anyone wears peds/sock liners with their ballet style shoes or slight heels, or even loafers, and if so, do you have a favorite, comfortable, stretchy brand that you gravitate toward? i need to find some that will not show when wearing a shoe that can be worn with a dress or skirt. I am told (from women in the younger generation) that very few people still wear pantyhose, and to be honest, my fingernails have always ruined hosiery at a rate that is probably legendary (like I could win a gold medal for ruining the most hosiery without even trying).

I only wear sandals without socks, so I need to find a good brand of sock liners/peds to wear with my usual flats worn with dresses or skirts, or even with shorts. Clarks used to have phenomenal sock liners/peds, but for some reason, their new ones are not like the former, slightly cushioned ones.

I do not feel comfortable wearing flats without some kind of sock. Thank you in advance for any replies.

My friend recommended ONDO to me.She wears them alot and has found them to be the best.

You are very welcome.I don't wear them myself.We were vacationing together in April and she had on a pair with sneakers.They were different than most no show socks.She said she had tried many brands but these were the best in her opinion. I hope you find a pair that works for you

@Jersey Born If you search PEDS on Amazon there are seven pages worth of them. You can probably find one that fits your needs. I like to wear the mules toe toppers.

Fidragon on that AtoZ store. No slipping at all, well-structured to stay on, and they wash up like a dream (I air dry....just my preference).

Like you, I feel that I will "nasty" my shoes and my feet if I don't have something next to them. I spend as much on Jergens self-tanner and peds for my shoes as I would on nylons. I know it is not a trend to wear hosiery but I do, especially in winter. Even my husband wore mine in winter when he was in the military, especially in Germany. He said they kept him warm and he did not have to wear "long johns." At first, the guys made light of him but once they tried it, it became a "thing."

I really like Sheec socks.

They stay up and come in different cuts for different shoe styles.

Personally, I think it's less about the brand, and more about the fabric content percentages you prefer.

Since the huge rise in manufacturing cotton anything, more "peds" are no longer made with 98% cotton and 2% spandex.

Many are made with larger percentages of nylon, polyester, rayon and whatnot.

IMO, it depends on how much your feet sweat and the climate you live in.

@Jersey Born I wanted to wear them because I only wear socks with any shoe when it is really cold outside.

I tried a couple different pair and could not keep them on my feet, they would just slip off the heel...and the sock was visible, which for me was not the look I wanted.

I hope you find something that works.

I realize the type of shoe you wear will dictate if the sock shows but if anyone has found a brand that stays on and does not show I'd appreciate knowing the brand.

@Nonametoday - I am like you. I cannot feel good wearing shoes without socks of some kind. My feet will stick to the inside of the shoes, and in this blistering summer heat, my feet will sweat, and that will not be a good thing. (I used to love wearing dark, opaque hosiery, more like tights, worn with a dress or skirt in fall and winter.)

@4kitties - I will take a look at Sheec socks, too. That they stay on your foot is a good thing. The Ondo socks previously mentioned come in organic cotton, which sounds great.

After trying so many different brands, they all would slip off of my foot I found that Bombas no show socks actually really do stay on!

They are a bit more expensive but worth it if it works!

Hi @Jersey Born Amazon has tons of no show liner socks. You can add a particular material if you wish, but I suspect you'll get a blend. I would think if these are dress shoes, nylon may be better than cotton.

the description states cotton but they feel like nylons with a cottony pad against the foot

The above 3 feel like nylon on the top and like cotton against the bottom of the foot.

And I was having a problem with a hammer toe rubbing against the top of a rough shoe and bought these

SATINIOR 6 Pairs Toe Topper Socks No Show Liner Sock $12

It doesn't say the material but they feel like cotton socks. They are a little thicker than the others so they protect my toes.

They are also good if toes are rubbing against each other.

These all have a place in my drawer...

@Mom2Dogs None of these slip off. The first 2 have a grip like texture at the edge and grip designs at the bottom to help them stay in place. The slinbacks are held in place by the back, and the toe ones stay in place because they fit close to the toes. I guess if the shoes are very wide they could slip off but that has never happened to me. They fit snuggly.
