it's so liberating, haha. Except when I'm filling up a box with purses I suddenly get all lovey dovey. "Oh you little pink IHKWIP bag, you're so cute maybe I should start carrying you" "what! Why have you been buried in my closet, luscious green Lug Ranger? Let me give you another chance" I'm hopeless

haha, i feel like that when something of mine sells on Poshmark.

i just sold a Coach bag and felt a little sad. but i have not used it in a couple years and my needs have changed. so off it went to its new home in CA!!

better to recycle and reuse!!

I do the same thing when trying to get rid of clothes or other items. I retired 5 years ago and am still working on getting rid of clothes. What I have to do is get the items in the bag and then take it to the donation site right away. If I leave items sitting in the bag, I end up taking things out.

I have a lot of shoes to get rid of. I have a few listed on Poshmark, but am not getting any response. Will probably pack them up to donate.

When I clean out my closets, I feel sad. What I think about is all that money I spent and wasted.

Even if you donate, most items end up being tossed out. Thrift stores get so many dontions that they can't store everything.

If it doesn't sell in a short time, out it goes.

This throught keeps me from buying more stuff. I try to buy pieces I will wear a long time. I am very bothered by disposable clothing.

Congrats on your purge! I feel about shoes, the way you feel about handbags. It's difficult for me to part with shoes.

I just finished a purge. I went through everything: clothes, pjs, shoes, handbags, jewelry, and undergarments. My husband even went through some of his things. We have 2 bags in the basement ready to go.

Everything I own for all 4 seasons is in one closet and 2 dressers so it's fairly well managed right now. We have a small coat closet in the entryway, and I have a jewelry box on my dresser. Trying not to buy too many new things, but it's always a work in progress.

like @wilma I have my wardrobe pared down to one closet for clothing, a shared entry way closet for hubby's and my outerwear, and the closet in my dog's room oops I mean the guest room for purses and my chorus costumes. This seems reasonable and appropriate for my needs

perfect way to look at it. Some ladies will be tickled to get these very nice bags. Which have barely been used because I have so many in rotation. I do love to bless others whenever I can
