Paisley Boyfriend Maxi Dress

What do you think of this print, especially how it's completely different on the back (the smaller paisley does start on the sleeves).

I do like paisley and I love blue and white together in a print.

I don't care for what they're calling a boyfriend fit in this dress, definitely looks like you could size down to make it more flattering.

@Greeneyedlady21 - It's not something that would look good on me. It reminds me a little of the Japanese summer kimono, a yukata. They are traditionally blue and/or black on a white background.

My first thought was "is it a robe?" My 2nd thought when I saw it on the model was "sloppy".

It looks like a robe. I like the print and color.

I wouldn't wear that in public except maybe out to the mailbox and back.

I like the front but don't care for the back print at all. They should have kept it all the same. Plus, those very flat sandals she is wearing do not add anything to the dress.

Pretty! I have a co worker that wears dresses like this almost every day. She looks adorable. I will tell her about this. We have a meeting next month if she likes it I might see it on her. I like paisley but it's not a good look on me. That style of dress is one I wear often. I'm not one for a maxi dress but I wear a shorter style, change the belt, add a nice blazer and I ready for work! Thank you for sharing!

I'm very particular about prints and even though I love a paisley print, I prefer it much, much smaller. My first thought was that of a robe also.

I like it. It does at first look like a robe, but then after looking at it more, it looks like a dress to me...I do like a Paisley Print!

Well--not something any boyfriend of mine would wear--have issues with the boyfriend description for anything--and especially a dress?? I wouldn't wear it but maybe would look ok over slacks as a topper??

I love the colors and the style of the sleeves. I'm ok with the prints on the front and the sleeves, but I don't really like the back. To me, that's what gives it the nightgown/robe look that others have mentioned. And I agree with you about sizing down if you do get it; the oversized look would add to the robe vibe, I think.

I like paisley prints, but I don't care for this one. The design on the front is too large, and I don't like all the white space on the back. I like my paisleys small to medium sized and close together. I like the blue and white color combination.

On a side note, I've heard several fashion YouTubers say that paisley is an "old lady" print that you just don't see on younger women. Interesting that Express would promote this dress, if that's true. Maybe paisley will be rediscovered by the younger generation. I always considered paisley to be a classic print.

I love it. I love the print and the blue and white color. I'm a huge fan of chinoiserie and although this isn't it, it has the vibe. I love the loose and breezy fit, too. My kind of dress.

I like the design of the dress but not the material. If it was a solid color I would wear the dress.
