I have a beautiful steam iron which is it's box, no ironing board.

I like the idea of a steamer but haven't found one that works, perhaps I'm not spending enough for one.

My motto these days is Life is too Short to Iron, therefore, I prefer a steamer. It also may have something to do with the fact that I live in the desert where temps can rival the surface of the sun, LOL.

A traditional steam iron, definitely! Never had much luck with steamers.

I still have an ironing board, iron, and distilled water next to my laundry area downstairs. While I don't need to iron as much since we are both retired, there are still some items we wear to church like dress shirts, tailored pants, and a few other things that I need to iron to look our best.

I love ❤️ my Rowenta Steam iron! I find it offers the best of both. Steamers alone have never worked as well for me...even the most expensive.

I prefer my steam iron as well. I keep my ironing board up year round. I actually just purchased a new ironing board cover for it over the weekend. I never had much luck with a steamer. However, if the item I'm needing ironed isn't too badly wrinkled, I'll go the lazy route and hang the item and hit the steam button on the iron several times to go over the garment.

I don't iron. I tried it after we got married. I didn't like it. We still have the same iron we received as a wedding gift 48 yrs ago. LOL!!!

I told DH if he buys clothes that need to be ironed he can iron it.

I have Joy's Little Steamer. I think I have used it twice. Don't even know where it's at.

Definitely a steamer. When I was working in healthcare in hospitals and wearing uniforms, I had years of ironing scrubs. Now that I'm retired and spending everyday in shorts and t-shirts, it's the steamer all the time for anything with wrinkling.

I purchased mine in Walmart several years ago for $9.99 and it still works great. Most items come out of the dryer and are immediately hung up. I only use the iron for an occasional stubborn area on denim.

If I need creases or finesse for the clothing I iron it but for curtains it is steamer.

I don't have either. If it needs to be ironed it stays in the store. My steamer is my shower.

There's a place for both. I pretty much wear only natural fabrics especially in summer so I sometimes need to use one or the other. If I'm lazy and not fussy I use my steamer. If I need to look my best I iron.

I haven't had much luck with steamers......It could be that it's a 'hassle' for me to stand there and hold the steamer against / near the fashion item.

It just never worked out well.

Steam irons: No problem.

I roll a towel and place it inside shirt / top / blouse arms, and steam iron over the shirt / top arms.

I use both depending on what I am doing. Sometimes you need an iron and sometimes you can use a steamer better. I have both and use both.

I don't mind ironing at all. I'm a bit obsessive about wrinkles .... I iron EVERYTHING.

My ironing board and iron are strategically placed .... easy access for almost daily use.

Nothing beats a good steam iron. But since I retired I can't be bothered getting out the board and the iron. so I depend on my Conair Turbo ExtremeSteam Garment Steamer, which is hands down the best hand steamer I ever used (thank you, Wirecutter).
