Linen trousers, sizing down?

I was looking at the hip measurements on the linen pants and they seem very large. Did any of you size down? I know many of you are expecting to receive these soon... Could you please describe the fit?

My Linen Pants have just shipped - yesterday. I did size down one size - because of the measurements - and they are a relaxed fit, and unlined. Also Louis mentioned that instead of having two darts in the front - the darts have been left open like a small pleat.

I only ordered 2 linen pants, one smaller, one larger, because I was concerned too. I will have to return one, but then I will order 2 more in the correct size. I will report back when I receive them.

It was not until after I ordered my usual size in the pants that I read the hip measurements. I ordered one pair a size smaller during the show; they are out for delivery today.

I do hope my usual size fits as that's what I ordered to match the jacket in black/white and ordering down a size is not an option as they have been sold out since before the show aired. Fingers crossed.

My linen blend pants arrived today in my usual size 8. The fit is easy but still tailored, and just right for this style of pant that is not meant to be fitted. I do not recommend sizing down. I have a defined waist (more than 10 inch waist-hip differential) and was worried that the waist (in size 8, an inch larger than most Linea pants) would be too loose, but it is not. The back elastic does not 'pucker.' These pants drape beautifully and have a nice walk to them. I'm going back for chili pepper, before they are all gone.

The smaller size linen/rayon pants were too small for me. Usual Linea size should be the way to go. I think the click here measurements were inaccurate.
