Rhonda Shear TS Gel Support Bras

Has anyone tried these? They look so soft and comfortable. I don't need a lot of support so thought these might work.

@LadybugDG I have not tried the TS gel bra, but I have other bras by Ronda Shear and I like them very much and comfortable, I don't need a lot of support so her bras work great for me.

Looks very similar to the Jockey Forever bras that I wear which I find comfortable. Mine are not under wire.

@happilyretiredgirl @LadybugDG @Desertdi it has great reviews. I watched the presentation and they showed it on 5 different models. It doesn't look very supportive for the heavier breasts but for smaller breasts it looked good. Pruce is good for two. I may try it. I'm always looking for the ever illusive comfortable bra.

I agree, @Teddixat . I watched the midnight presentation and came to the same conclusion. The small busted women looked like they had a good fit. The larger, not so much. Even Rhonda looked a bit droopy in her top.

I have some of her underwire bras and while they offer much more support than the Ahhbra (?), they don't compare to your typical underwire.

I need more support, at least in some tops. I just ordered another Breezies Wild Rose underwire. I have worn these for years, but stopped when they made the straps too long. If that is the case when I get this one, I am just going to shorten them myself.

@tends2dogs thanks for you post. Also, i noticed on one of the models,Dagmara, her band had rolled up. I cant understand why they haven't been able to design a 'comfort" bra that doesn't roll up. I like comfort bras around the house but when I dress up I like support abd iam onky a 34C. My complaint with Breezies bras is the consistency in fit abd their straps are a bit too wide.

i also don't like removable pads. They slip around to much. I prefer the cups being sewed in.

The only bra I've worn which was really supportive and could have held a prosthesis well was by Evelyn and Bobbie. They have several styles. I ordered a bra with a hook closure in the back, a v-shape bodice, and straps which are sizeable in navy (!).

There are removable pads in the cups when the bra is received. You could remove one and insert your prosthesis in its place.

The sizing is very strange. I'm a 34-C and (after checking carefully) ordered the Size Small. At first I felt like it was way too tiny, but then I began to get used to the feeling of being "enclosed by the bra." Within a few hours, I knew the size was correct. The next day it felt even better! Even as firm as it seems I'm still wearing it on the tightest hook in back, yet am comfortable with the support and appearance.

It's expensive but I feel like it's "molded around me" when wearing it. It's a cozy, supportive feeling that I've never had from a bra. My clothing hangs so much better when wearing this bra that I've begun wearing it for most social outings rather than my previous bras.

I love it and am anxious for the next program since QVC is currently out of stock of the style I ordered. I want several more (in other colors) NOW even though they are pricey!

Oh, it even launders well. I do not put it in dryer - just drape it over the shower rod to dry (like I've always done with any of my bras) in an extra bathroom. Hope this info. is helpful.

@BirkiLady ---I have 2 "faux girls" not just 1--had double mastectomy and didn't want to go thru reconstruction. I have had to spend a good amount of $$, mostly on Wacol brand, to be able to hold those things up--I don't wear them and haven't for a few years--once I got used to going flat----I was ok with that. But it does make it very difficult to buy tops that fit me as I am shaped like a guy now---on top.

I can't believe her bras have enough support for large busted women. I've heard of women that are larger on fb say they don't have enough support.

Debbie D who I believe is a triple D says she wear them but you can tell when she is on camera during those times that she doesn't have enough support and she looks like it.

Rhonda S who has implants and is a 42 double D can't really say her bras work for her since she does have implants which btw has never mentioned this on air. She should because having implants make a difference in the firmness of your breasts.

I wear RS but I'm not a triple D.

The band rolls a bit on me which I don't like but I go up 2 sizes when I buy them. Shop your top doesn't work for me and for many others on fb when we talk about it. Most women I know go up in size.

I have tried 3 different styles of Rhonda sheer bras. NONE offered any support. If you are small breasted then it may work for you. But if you have medium to large breasts don’t waste your money on her bras. That “shop your top” is BS.

You made the decision I've often considered when going through so many biopsies and lumpectomies over the past 50 years. So glad you are healthy (first priority!) and, finally, have accepted your body as it is. You sound like a strong, independent female to have made those decisions!

Had a close friend in Denver who also went through a double mastectomy many years ago and chose the same option as you. She found men's white cotton shirts with breast pockets at Target. She didn't worry about a bra after that! Those cotton shirts became her signature clothing until her death in her late 80's. She didn't wear them "oversized", but bought them to fit her through the shoulders and body (like we buy expensive blouses or jackets). Then, she'd hem up the bottom so she could wear them with her slacks, jeans or bermuda shorts. If she wanted to dress up, she would tuck the shirt into a skirt or slacks and add a tweed or linen jacket! She was always well dressed (almost tailored) in her appearance.

I had a double mastectomy with immediate reconstruction. Was happy until I wasn't and had to remove one. Had diep surgery using abdomen fat but that failed so left prosthesis now.

if you are eligible for Medicare, it will pay for a new prosthesis every 2 years and 6 new mastectomy bras each years. My bras are cotton t shirt bras with pockets. By Classique style 702. Comfortable and look like regular bras.

@Zaimee --yes-- am a medicare babe!!! and have had at least 3 sets of faux boobs since 2012--- went to Nordstroms to be fitted a few times for bras and got the prosthetics there too. Still have a set now that will work. At that time I was still married, so spouses ins covered it all. Just need a bra now; DS is getting married in Sept and want my dress to fit right.

@BirkiLady ---thanks for your kind words---I did go to a plastic surgeon after all the cancer drama was done, to see what recon would entail--OMG!!!!! Would have taken a year of surgery and healing and I am/was so over surgery that it was not worth it for me.

I do what your friend did--, find mens t- shirts to wear mostly, as well as I found some really nice flannel shirts that I customized for me to wear overtop --I have many tank tops to wear underneath the few blouses that are soft and flowy--- in different colors and patterns too. But darts and princess seams are not my friends anymore. Don't miss the mammos or call backs every year---and never wear bras except for very special events.
