Joan Rivers Sizing Question

Never purchased anything from her line. Those of you that have, how is the fit? Do you feel they run larger than your regular size?

@rms1954 Joan Rivers clothing always fit me the same as other Q offerings, like Denim & Co. In that sense, they are true to size.

To me, Q clothes are sized larger than brick and mortor store sizes. ( Vanity sizing)

That is probably why so many wear XXS. If they went to an actual store, they probably would not fit into a size 0.

It has been many years, but I found it to be a little smaller/tighter fit. Bough the barn jacket. Sent it back.

I find if I check the actual garment measurement I do okay on sizing. It can vary greatly within a line so I always check now.

@rms1954. I find that the JR tops run very large so, after checking the garment measurements, I usually go down a size. I've also returned 2 pairs of pants in recent months because because they were too baggy.

I agree with @Kachina624 and find I need to go down a size most times in her clothing. Joan Rivers garments are made very well and I recently bought a black blazer and coordinating pants. I'm very pleased with purchase.

@rms1954 I have several different sizes from different lines at QVC...I never purchase anything based on othere lines.

I ALWAYS check the sizing for that garment. Usually things fit, pants are usually not a good fit and depending on the fabric or if a top is a Vneck, I might go down a size.

I have only bought tops but I size down. My normal size of medium is too big.

To me, it fits like D&Co, which I always find to run just a tad bigger than other lines. I hope this helps.💝

One thing I'll add though, I do find their long sleeve tops to run a bit short in the sleeve length on me. However, I am tall and may have a bit longer arms?

I feel that they run generally true to QVC sizing, but tend toward the larger size. But it does depend on the garment.

I have some JR pants and tops. I bought my usual QVC size and never had a size issue.

Joan River's line has always run larger than QVC sizes. I like most of the cotton-rich materials used in the blouses and have purchased several. However I usually have to size down one or two sizes in the JR line!

Have no idea why David Dangle uses such large sizing and continues to waste so much fabric. The prices could be so much lower in this line if they were sized according to QVC sizes!

Now I'm even more confused. Some say smaller fit some say looser fit. This was a brand new item so no reviews. I checked the guide and the measurements of the fabric seemed large. I went with the XSM, maybe I should have gotten the XXS. We shall see. It's exactly what I've been looking for. A640673

@rms1954 I agree with Kachina -- JR runs large. I still buy my Q XS sizing, though. I've found the line is excellent quality.

Since I carry my weight in my hips, I always check the garment maesurement. Usually, I need to size up one size. The only item I don't buya size larger is a boyfriend shirt. I find they usually run big. Just be sure to check the garment size and read the reviews.
