topic Review: Jennifer Lopez for Kohl's in Fashion

So, I took a swing through Kohl's this morning to test drive the Jennifer Lopez collection. My overall impression is that it will sell well to a very niche customer--young, tall, thin and with cash to burn.

A few specifics:

---the clothes run small. I am a medium at B&M and most garments just fit with little room to spare.

---the prices are insane. I looked at a pretty 60-in acrylic scarf embellished with a few sparkly stud and the price was $48.00. A poly dress with a bit of ruching was 90.00. A cropped top with sequins was 84.00.

---the quality is hit or miss. The dresses and tops are actually well made with lots of details but the sweaters are an embarrassment. Cheap acrylic and the faux fur on the most photographed short sleeve sweater feels like sandpaper.

---the jewelry is junk. I mean, really junk. And, expensive.

---the shoes were clunky and cheap. And, not cute enough to withstand the pain.

There are a few things that would be worth a second look when the lines goes on sale (probably soon) but otherwise, save yourself a trip!

Hope this helps.
