Comfy Ankle Boots for people who hate boots?

I hate boots. BUT I would like a pair of ankle boots to wear with pants. Leather--black or brown. Not heavy, flexible, plain. Not much heel.

Any suggestions? Brands? Many thanks!

The skechers with the zip up front look comfy, I have a pair without the zipper and they are a bit hard to get in and out of but they are comfortable, they are suede though.

You might want to look into Vionic (leather) and Skechers (synthetic). I had a very comfortable pair of soft leather ankle boots from Bella Vita a few years ago. Rieker also does comfortable footwear.

I have a pair of Clarks Cloudsteppers ankle boots that are very comfortable. They are lightweight, flexible, and easy to get on and off with a zipper. Mine are faux leather, but nice looking. I got mine two seasons ago, but I bet Clarks makes something similar this year.

Sorel "Out and About" are now my go-to's. Kind of in the category of a tennis shoe bootie...no break-in time. I wear them for everything once the weather is cooler. (Macy's or Sorel.com)

I wear Bzees boots. They are not.leather but are.microfiber that looks like leather. They are lightweight, have arch support and feel like sneakers. They also are.machine washable. I could not wear boots until I found this brand. You can get them for a good price on Amazon.

@Sooner The brand that immediately jumps out for me is on hsn called Bzees. these boots are made out of a very soft very flexible washable fabric. the have a low heel only about 1"-1.5". Great styles and colors. I would urge you check these out on hsn. Just buy a pr that you like the color and style of and try these. Put a pr on their easy pay, try these and see if you don't love them.

I do not like wearing boots, too. I dislike the feeling of constraint from the ankle and above. Maybe the same type of feeling for those who hate turtlenecks. They feel like they are being choked, but they are not really being choked. An uncomfortable annoyance. Anyway, I would please suggest that if there is a sneaker brand that you like a lot, see if they offer an ankle boot. That is what works for me. I wear mostly Ryka sneakers and had success with their boot styles.

Years ago I bought a pair of Isaac's boots. Black leather, low heal. Had a buckle on the side. So comfortable and a very, very nice boot. I don't wear them often, still look like new.

I agree that Bzees are the most comfortable for anyone who finds shoes and boots uncomfortable.

I always buy the ones lined with faux fur. I have several pairs and live in them all winter long. They don't rub anywhere, keep my feet warm and are washable just in case you get snow melt salt or mud on them.

@Sooner ---I have a love/hate relationship with boots too--I love the look of them but have never found a pair that I feel good in. I need them to be water repellent ---I live in rainy Seattle and those stupid mesh shoes I have don't cut it.

I am only looking for a plain "dressier" boot--since I hate wearing boots I would only wear them sometimes for looks. I am a loafers, slip-on, sandals type. My feet want badly to be fee and even hate socks.
