QVC jean Sizing

First of all, I do look at the garment size chart and I know my measurements. I have also told CS about this. Problem? The garment size chart is incoorect for Isaac pants, and jeans! Based on the garment size chart for my hip measuremts i would be anywhere from a 18 to a 20W and I wear a 14 or 16 depending on the cut. So I oreded a pair of Isaac's in a 18 thinking they may run small. Holy Cow! They fit me like clown pants! I measered the pants and sure enough they were 6 inches wider then the garment size chart displayed. Apparently. the people who are making the size chart can't read a measuring tape or ruler. I ended up fitting into size 14 with room to spare. I do not like tight pants and do not wear them that way. I liked Belle's TSV the other day but according again I would be ordering a size 20W! I am passing on purchasing pants/jeans from QVC, May I suggest they ask the models their size and possibly their hip measurements or whether they sized up or down for the pants instead of spending the whole time telling us how we should wear them.

Sorry, for the rant and hope you ladies have better luck then I did. Gas is expensive and I hate wasting my time and money to keep having to return items. Not my thing at all.

I have the same problem with Kim's sizing. The measurements indicate a much larger size is needed. I am confused, so I do not order.

all the hosts need to size up couple of sizes.

too much 'junk in the trunk'. Then they do that

half tuck **** and gut and butt both on display.

It would be more helpful if the host would give the height and size of the models that are on the shows, as this is a better way of judging how a specific item fits. Some hosts do this on occasion, but it is hit or miss. I would rather hear this on all the clothing shows instead of the hosts family vacations, holiday plans and other details of their personal lives that we really do not need to hear about. JMO

@On It. @Calcgirl. I find that both Isaac's and Kim's pants in the petite size I wear, run very short in the rise, making it impossible to keep them up. If I order the regular length, the waistband comes up to my bra band. I just can't wear either of these lines.

I haven't had any trouble with any other line and order and wear my usual QVC size without a second thought. D&C especially, always fits.

I happened to catch this presentation of Leah's new Studio Park trouser jeans. They look fantastic on Stacey! So I decided to check the chart...wow they are so off! I would be wearing a 2 or 0 and I was was in my 20s when I was last in such a small size!

@haddon9 That chart means everyone is going to size down a lot. The customers who need a smaller size will run out of options before the measurements are small enough.

@haddon9 I ordered a pair in my regular size 4 but haven't received them yet. I have been looking for ages for denim trouser jeans. I am usually an easy fit so I didn't check the chart. We'll see.

@Calcgirl Sizing is all over the place.

I keep written track of what measurements fit my body and compare measurements IF I decide to buy pants from QVC. The last (BELLE) pair of pants on QVC that I thought I might purchase I would have needed a 14...most of my pants are 10-12 in size and I have a pair that is size 8 that fit.

I am not even sure the 14 would have fit properly...I will not wear pants that are snug in the thigh area...most of QVC pants fit snugly to the body..that is not my style.

It's a waste of my money to buy pants from QVC.

I hear them do that ALL the time...I know the height and size of almost every model now!!

I don't use the garment size chart, I use the body size chart every time I order clothing. I don't believe there is a "QVC size" anymore. There are many designers now and size can differ by designer and garment. I noticed that the NYDJ rep is now explaining what he means by "go down a size". When it comes to jeans, I have jeans in 16w, 18w and 20w and they all fit. The only difference being the waist of there is a zip closure. Which is ok because I always wear a belt. I rarely have any sizing problems because the "number" means nothing to me. I care only about the fit.

knowing their height and size is meaningless to me. Now their weights would actually help me but that's not going to happen.
As far as brands, I wear Belle in my usual size 14 and her pants/jeans fit me well. Happy with my purchases from that line.

@haddon9 Received my pants today and I really like them, the fit is a true trouser Jean fit. I think those who thought they ran big don't understand the look of a trouser jean. My usual size 4 fit me well though the waist was a tad big, but not enough to speak of. I think the 2 would be more fitted than I would like in this style. That is my review of them, but know that am an easy fit. I am pleased with my purchase.

I ordered Kim's jeans for the first time. Yes, I checked the measurements. I tried to check the reviews about sizing. I also wanted to know if the jeans stretched out during the day, shrink in the dryer and "fit".

I took a chance and ordered 2 styles in my store size. The fit is big. I've reordered the next size down to compare. I would like them if I can find my size.

Enough has been said about lack of fit and sizing information.

I've gotten slammed before asking for the models' hip and perhaps waist measurements. Then they can say what size they're wearing and it would be helpful when compared to the stated measurements on-line.

When Kim constantly says her jeans stretch 3 to 4 to 5 inches, are we to subtract a few inches off our waist, hips and thighs, etc. so they fit right??? But then again, I don't want them to be skintight.

Not just for Kim's jeans, but all jeans and pants. Most are so stretchy, and I too am tired of returns due to sizing.

@kindred cats I hate to just keep hammering the same issues. The sizing issues are maddening.

Kim says, if your size is sold out get the next size bc they are so forgiving--- Or Susie the model is 5'7" and is wearing size 12.

For the hosts and vendors: Height (other than petite regular or tall) has no relationship to numerical or letter size.

I was in JJill and the clerk mentioned their pants. I told her I was happy with my Talbots pants. She said "I understand. When you find a pants brand that fits that's where you should stay."

I tried Kim bc I wanted a knit jean. As a Q customer, I have learned to just live with their system or go elsewhere.
