There are so many beautiful faux leathers to use. Using a baby animal is sad, just so a person can wear the skin. it breaks my heart

Lamb is a major offering in restaurants. The leather goes to a tanner. If it wasn't the case, PETA would have addressed the issue.

You know I totallyIagree with you. I find using lamb and eating veal is horrible, yet I buy leather handbags. For some reason, thinking of that poor baby lamb or calf being slaughtered is unappealing to me. I have no idea why I feel that way except that I love all animals, but I still buy leather bags. Go figure.

I think this is the best TSV they've had in ages. I find it refreshing to see an actual lamb leather jacket. I think the price is wonderful.

Does it also break your heart about all of the beef, pork chicken, fish and, yes, lamb, that QVC sells in their gourmet food category? Not to mention the myriad other leather products in inventory. I just find it odd that a few posters need to voice their disgust for a leather jacket but have been silent on the meat gravy-train, so to speak.

Of course you won't buy it, but let everyone else make their own decisions about what is ethical to buy. I would never buy or wear fur but that is my personal choice and I wouldn't impose it on anyone else.

I've always loved leather shoes, purses, coats/jackets, car interiors & seats, furniture, and so much more. Animals are raised for food and their skins are used to make the above items mentioned.

No need for a guilt-trip! It's been done for centuries.

Leather jackets breathe! That provides comfort, ensures healthier physical comfort during the seasons worn and certainly is much more attractive. How anyone could/would wear a faux leather jacket is beyond me.

I have had faux leather, the jacket I had/Susan Graver/fell apart.

I think she's imposing her choice on me by asking QVC to stop selling the lamb skin coat and to use faux leather. I don't eat lamb, I don't eat veal but that is my personal choice I cannot expect anyone else to live by my standards. Even my husband . . . he loves veal, but he knows I won't cook it so he orders it when we are at a restaurant.
