Patch look jeans in general

First let me say everyone has their own style and I have nothing against that, to each her own. I'm seeing the Logo patched jeans and I just never understood why one would pay (whether low or high price) for jeans that look like they had been torn or ripped and then patched over. Even the ones with big holes in the knees ! That is what they call style ?? I guess I'm out of touch if that's the cool way to look. Oh well I will stay out of touch and just wear ordinary clothes Now everyone be nice, it's just my opinion, not a argumentative post. What's your opinion on that style ?

I agree, the first time I saw those obnoxious patch jeans I thought who on earth ould wear something that ugly. They're a bit toned down tonight but still ugly. Reminds me of when I put patches on my son's pants when he was little.

My first reaction was 👎 nope. Definitely not my taste. I've never ever liked the tattered, torn, holey and ripped styles of jeans, either. I'm very conservative, and like I said elsewhere I'm admittedly not a fashionista.
I'm sure many ladies will buy and enjoy wearing the TSV today 😊

I Think young people look great in these kind of looks; retro kind of "beat up" clothes. We wore army fatigues in HS and College and it was "cool". So, to each their own. At my age; no way would I attempt this look.

I suspect for every item someone deems ugly another would think the same of their fashion taste.

Isn't variety, whether one likes it or not, what makes life interesting?

Both the patches & the cuff cut off the legs & make them look shorter. I am shorter & not long legged, so I prefer a clean silhouette with no cuff.

The jeans being sold today have a darker patch on the thigh, drawing attention to the area causing it to look wider. The rolled up hem make the legs look shorter. From my perspective, the models look shorter and wider in this "look".

If the look appeals to your stle, I hope you enjoy them.

Martha Stewart did the only patch jeans that I really liked.

She got the patches in the right places and got the length and tapering of the leg correct.

Who on earth? .... Me. I think they are cute!

To me they just look like they are a decorative style not ripped and torn with patches covering them. BTW, I never put patches on my kids clothes when they were little so maybe that's why I just don't associate the look as being old and torn.

My opinion is almost $70 (special value?!) for

again with "The Emperors New Clothes."

people think they are buying the cool look but they just look like iron on patches on not so great jeans.

But I'm sure all the "designers" must get on the bandwagon and try to make people think this is so in and "on trend." If people didn't think it was popular would they really go out and buy a pair of jeans with a huge patch on them?!

I hated it when I patched my sons and my jeans with them

back then and still hate them now.

but I'll repeat what everyone else loves to say

"but enjoy them if you get them."which I think is just meant to soften the blow of an opposing opinion.

I wouldn't buy those jeans. I wouldn't pay $5.00 or even $1.00 for them.

Hubbs hates those heels w/jeans. Calls them victim shoes.

I agree with you. Martha's patchwork jeans were perfectly designed. I remember seeing Leah wear them and felt it was her very best look ever.

And then QVC jumps on a look with several iterations that can often miss the mark.

@Goodie2shoes - To each their own, but I think those ripped/torn styles signify something that is quite awful and intenionally unkind in the world, so I have never purchased anything like them for myself or for my family. I will never willingly wear torn clothing, no matter the "fashion".

If I rip my clothing by accident, I pray that I will always have unripped replacement clothing to wear.
