Fashion Favorites (w/e 8/26/23)...

My favorite inspiration outfits this week from online browsing/shopping and from some of my favorite fashion bloggers. I couldn't (or wouldn't) necessarily wear any of these, but I like the way they've been styled or some particular component of the outfit. I might put an accessory on my shopping list. Maybe the outfit inspires me to put together something similar from my wardrobe or to try different color combinations. Sometimes, I just love the whole look. Thought I'd share and hope you enjoy...

As always, thank you so much for your comments on these threads. I read them all and especially enjoy reading why you like an outfit or why you don't and how you might tweak an outfit, or what individual pieces you like.

#13 ... second favorite.

#5, without the shoes ... except I'd wear a long sleeve tee underneath sleeveless sweater.

I do like some of these and seems to be me but not all of course. Some I would change up for more my taste but gives a person some ideas.

I really like 2.

16 and 14 and 5 are nice casual outfits. Something easy to pull off.

I like 10 for church for me. I like a cardi and always chilly.

I love the look of 19. Fresh look for a brooch wear.

#10 - Love that shade and that it's all tonal

#15 - more green -- I always adore this shade and the dress is so nice for fall and winter

#7 outfit appeals to me. I like dark colors, and the texturing is great. It's something I would wear.

The blazer in #16 is lovely.

Good Morning, @MacDuFF There are so many wonderful outfits that caught my eye this week. Here are my picks:

#3-What a cute little boy in a cute outfit.

#5-I reall y like the whole outfit and the long vest makes it more interesting.
#6-I like the gauzy breezy easiness of this ensemble. @MacDuFF ,

your red straw bag that I love so much would look great with this outfit.

#14-I must find a pink hoodie as nice as this one.

#15-Love the green color of this dress, although it's too long for little ole me.

#18-That is a great shade of purple for a handbag. I want it.

I like the olive dress and cardigan in #10. It has a classic and relaxed vibe.

I like the jacket and neutral outfit in #13. I always love a tailored jacket look.

I also like the skirt sweater combo in #17, but I would choose a darker boot and handbag.

#19 is an interesting use of pins/brooches. I have several, but I still wear mine more traditionally. I don't know how comfortable or practical it is to have pins all over a top. Not sure I would want to make all those holes in a garment either. I have a MagnaPin that allows a pin to be worn without poking holes in clothing.

#13 is my favorite look this week.

Honorable mentions are #2 with a different heel (just not feeling this one), #5 but changing out to a wedge heel w/out an ankle strap. #6 is not a look I'm normally drawn to but the hat and sunglasses really take it the next level.

My hands down favorite is #7 - beautiful in black. Rich and luxurious.

#17 is the perfect fall outfit. I do not care for the white handbag or the boots. Wrong color and the boots are too short. Fine with pants, not the dress.

The trench in #18 is so pretty and the bag is stunning.

Pretty loden in #10.

well some outfit analyses are spot-on! The olive dress and cardigan in #10 indeed have a timeless and relaxed feel, which is always a great combination. The tailored jacket look in #13 caught my eye as well, And #17's skirt and sweater combo is lovely. I'm intrigued by this idea of a darker boot and handbag – do you think that would bring out a different mood in the outfit?
and I've never heard of the MagnaPin, but it sounds like an ingenious solution to preserve the garment. How has your experience been with using it?
Nowadays a wanna try some modest maternity dressess, have you ever come across trymodest.com? They offer some intriguing designs that might align with your taste in fashion.

I just like a darker boot and handbag with those colors.

QVC used to sell MagnaPin, but I bought mine from Amazon. The actual stick pin goes through a narrow gel coated cylinder on one magnet. Then you use the other magnet to hold the pin in place on your garment. Works ok for small pins, but you really need 2 MagnaPins for larger ones.

I will check out trymodest.com.

Oooooh #19 is my favorite, with or without the brooches, but I love the whimsical, unexpected touch they give the look.

I love, love, lovvvvve that jacket...any idea what brand, where to find? That's a me outfiit.

None of the rest are for me but honorable mentions for ladies that look nice~ #2, #5, #6.

#5 nice transitional fall.

#6 She looks very cute and colorfully, casually, comfortably put together. ❤️ Wow, how's that for some unintended alliteration?!
