I just love Sam as the vendor. He sticks to the item description and knows whats coming & going for the season. So much better than listening to Diane drone on and on. The fashions have gotten better too. I haven't had much luck with the wear of her jeans but really like these marble jeans. Do you enjoy him?

@bells4me Yes I enjoy him and would always watch him when he was on Shophq before switching to HSN.

I do like Sam, knows his business, but I miss Diane just as much. She is DG2 and always will be. I wish her well. I disagree that the fashions are getting better. The prints are gaudy and styles are not to my liking. I am purchasing so much less now than when Diane was running the show.

Diane is fine, she has retired from the TV presentations. She has her own Instagram blog now, she does a lot of videos.

@gr mt girl thank you for the above. I never purchased a lot of Diane's fashions but did enjoy watching her presentations sometimes.

She just celebrated her birthday, I think she was turning 78. She looks great and seems to be enjoying her life! Still as fashionable as ever.

I think Sam is okay, I do like his presentaions but I also understand he is there to sell and I feel his approach is a bit phony at times. I like Diane too and wish her well but never had a lot of luck with her inconsistant sizing over the years and cheap fabric's used for her clothing. Sorry but it's true......also I think the line has really stayed the same. Some nicer styles but a lot of gaudy styles too, IMO.

I always thought Diane's presentations were a wealth of misinformation. She gave totally wrong advice on sizing. I gave up watching and buying her stuff for a long time after a couple of disastrous purchases using her advice.

I thoroughly enjoy Sam, although he's a little vague on sizing advice too. He has a wonderful voice.

Sam is a great salesperson and that is why Diane hired him to do this job. He represents the brand well. I used to watch him when he was with ShopHQ's One World brand.I like him.

@happilyretiredgirl I agree! I watched his presentations last evening and was frankly AMAZED at how well he represented the brand.

The info rolls off his tongue in an interesting, smooth and pleasant manner and his talent and skill are incomparable, as far as I'm concerned.

He's simply a "natural!!"

Diane was very fortunate to grab him from his prior employer. He's a KEEPER!!

He is upbeat but I find him too much to listen to. He never stops talking. I miss her. She really knew how to sell to women who had many of the same issues she did. That was the magic and why she sold huge numbers ( I think). Very relatable.
Him- not so much. My opinion: she should have found a woman to replace her. But glad she is well. 💝

I tried DG2 jeans years ago & they were terrible. They smelled and turned my legs black which gave me a scare. Plus they fell down by days end. I tried them again thi king maybe they improved but they didn’t & mist offerings are gaudy & passé imo

Sam does a wonderful job but for me he can be too much on a day like today when this brand is the TS. I miss Shivan Sarna and wish there was a way the two of them could share representing DG2.

My understanding is Sam is now the on-air salesperson and the creative director or designer. He mentions Diane to keep the branding alive and because so many buyers loved Diane. I have trouble with the chemicals they use on their jeans/clothing. Last pair of jeans I purchased this past Spring was black, and cute, and fit well, but still smells like chemicals after numerous washings and soakings in laundry borax. I do like the modern styles Sam and the staff are doing for DG2 but also do not wear polyester nor appreciate the chemical odors.

I was pleased to see him land at HSN after his stint with One World at Evine. That line is getting old, nothing new in years, and even Sam couldn't save it. I think he will be able to maintain the standards Diane Gilman had. I never was able to wear her jeans but that doesn't mean others won't find a good fit. Sometimes I watch just to listen to him.
