Wedding guest attire suggestions?

Relative getting married mid-October outdoor venue evening in Virginia. I'm thinking it could be cold. Looking for a nice long-sleeved attractive pants suit with some style, not too matronly or too "mother if the bride" conventional. Any suggestions for where to look I'm not seeing too much! Thanks.

I have no suggestions for you. But I just wanted to say that when our oldest son got married two years ago, I wore a coral colored lace dress from Isaac Mizrahi that I got on clearance. It was so inexpensive and it looked great on me. Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined I would spend so little on a dress as a mother of the grooom. Good luck findiing something.

I think that if you want a pant suit with style, go to a brick and mortar store. Maybe Dillard's, Macy's, Nordstrom or any other nice store in your area. Try it on and see how you like it. You have time to find something that you want. I would not order on line. I agree that nightime outdoors in October in Virginia could be chilly.

Macys has some cute R and M Richards pantsuits, I have been keeping my eyes open for my daughters wedding next spring.

Well, I shop everywhere, and I have oodles of dresses to wear for weddings, but if I wanted to wear pants I might not want to choose such a fancy style pantsuits outfit for which I might not have any other use. Instead, consider a separate pair of pants and jacket that could be reused multiple times in the future.

Since you are asking the question on QVC, I would say have a look at Dennis Basso.

I ordered the pants A556107, and they are actually very silky and flowing, simple pull-ons, great for dancing and quite comfortable.

You could pair it with the matching blazer, but it is almost sold out, so you could perhaps consider A556129, very lovely, a bit warm, and will go with everything. Or perhaps you already own a blazer or a very pretty blouse and sweater--that would also look great.

Your options are unlimited! Have fun!

I am also looking for something to wear to weddings this fall...want to find a great embroidered/jeweled wrap to wear over a satin tuxedo pantsuit.

I suggest a tan/beige pant suit with a matching color silk blouse and a pearl or turquise necklace or scarf. Very classy and stylish.

I would go with a classic tailored pant suit in a pretty color and dress it up with some tasteful sparkle-in a clutch, shoes, jewelry. A nice silk shell under the blazer

@birdQ13 I was just on the TJMaxx site and they have many formal dresses and pants for great prices.

I am always drawn to Adrianna Papell designs and they have quite a few of hers. They also have dressier jumpsuits that you could dress up with a pretty wrap.
