What top would you wear with this jacket?

I'm planning ahead for an annual charity luncheon next spring and may wear this jacket that I bought earlier this year, haven't worn it yet. It's a Talbots jacket and they're having a great sale currently so will look but not sure what to get to go with it.

I bought the butterfly sweater and could wear it with the jacket but was thinking maybe something with a little color and more springy? It's pretty chilly in March here in Denver so I wouldn't be too warm. TIA

The blazer is very pretty!

I would opt for a pop of color for the blouse - a beautiful gray or aquamarine blue. A white or black silk blouse would also be pretty.

I like the butterfly sweater but personlly wouldn't wear it with the jacket.

Definitely a pop of color like red, pink or yellow.

@rockygems123 The jacket is very nice! I like the black and white flower top shown, but I would like a bright tank under there. A great green, pink or yellow. I have always like Talbots. You will look stunning.

I would pair with a bright pink color such as orchid or another bright pink. Girl with curves has a simple round neck top in the orchid color that would be nice .

in cool spring weather I wear camisoles under blouses to stay warm.

also Talbots have nice sweaters in solid colors to wear under the jacket

The spring function is fancy so no jeans but I love the look.

That's a nice jacket @rockygems123.

I would keep it simple. The background of the jacket looks ivory to me and background black.

If it were me I would (depending on your skin tone) wear an ivory or black silk cami or blouse and keep it simple with a long 36 or 40 inch gold or silver swingy statement necklace's or some faux ala Coco pearls (or even better a few layered necklaces down the front of your blouse. That's a nice background and all you need.

The jacket carries.

Oh, I didn't realize it was a fancy event. But any-whoo that pic I posted is a different jacket. Not the same as yours but close.

Exactly @SilleeMee. It's a charity lunch so jeans and tee won't work. Like I said a plain blouse and some necklace chains is all.

I would wear a black "A" line or straight skirt and any color shell.

What @Pink123 stated. I do not care for a print under that jacket. I would want a very Chanel look with this jacket.

@Franklinbell yes simple, no skirt though (too old ladyish no matter how old you are IMO, slim black, ivory, slacks which I think would be appropriate for the ocassion)

Skirts are not enhancing and will age someone which no one wants. Yes they are adorable for those under 30. We are not wearing daisy dukes anymore either after all.

I agree I feel like skirts are very aging, I would go with a simple black dress slack and a pop of color shell under the jacket or even black with a pearl necklace would be nice.

@Pink123 I love the long chain faux pearl idea here are two I could group with it, also has tiny sparkly champagne crystals.

And love the creamy ivory or black silk cami or blouse. Nothing on Talbots but I have time. Thank you

@SilleeMee Isn't that something, I didn't notice that the jackets were slightly different but you gave me a way to wear it in a casual way. Looked so sad sitting in my closet now it doesn't have to or at least when the weather is a little colder.
